The best way to play golf is with a bunch of people who only play golf to work up a thirst. In April we had a golf weekend and the theme was to play in the most rediculous, but golf legal, strides possible. I had some fetching red tartan skin tight punk trousers - all course legal. Last year there was a sci-fi convention in the same hotel and one middle aged woman spent the entire weekend dressed as Capt. Pickard. They had celebrity guests as well, some dude and woman from Wharehouse 13. They sort of stood out a bit (they looked human). We tried to crash the end of convention disco but the Klingons on guard duty threatened to [ichot[/i us, and we ran away like the [ibaktag[/i we were.

Excuse me Mc-Field can you answer a question for me?...... What category do Egg Custards fall in to? It says tart on the box is this correct? Are tarts a sub-division of cakes or pastries?? Please help its causing me sleepless nights.

Egg custard is not a tart, the tart who wrote that on the box is the only tart in this conversation.

Tarts are flat hard pastries with burnt jam around the edges and molten jam in the middle that remains capable of removing the taste buds from your tongue longer than molten lava will do on some brand new Icelandic island.

Egg custards are not officially available to mere humans for egg custards are the nectar of gods, egg custards have a category all of their own called "Egg Custards", you should not be eating egg custard, where did you buy it from and did the reseller leave any clues as to where he obtained them, they are surely stolen from Dionysus' pantry.

Are you sure that you didn't eat it and you've forgotten ?
Did you bring a coat with you, have you checked the pockets ?
Did you put it down anywhere near the dog ?

I'm going to sew elastic into your coat sleeves and fasten your next cake to that, it'll make it a bit harder to eat as you'll have to raise both arms together to get it to your mouth but you won't lose the bloody thing.

Now you're getting into Créme Caramel / Flan territory or even Créme Búlee ....Mmm..... Shouldn't the custard tart really be called custard pie?

I remember my mum used to make a deep egg custard which visitors admired but I thought too eggy as a kid. It was only when I tasted "Hirsts" (of Far Headingley) egg tart/pie that I was converted to what my brothers and I have since called "bought custard" with its confectioners creamy custard and sweet pastry.

Two things ive missed over here at Christmas is a stand pie and a rich fruity Christmas cake,but as far as the cake goes fear not a lady in the family made me a beauty ,went down a treat with peices of "stand at ease"cheese
