| GH intimated in a recent statement this may happen when he said although the whole squad is signed up departures can occur suddenly , just remember Senior. Gary's holidays are due I wonder if he is going to bring us back an unknown.I also wonder if Bailey will manage to get to training on time without his bash bra to drive him there

| Pfft. I reckon it is insecurity or something. Or, maybe he is useless with organising and paying bills and all that sort of stuff? The whole 'RB and BD living together' thing could have been a funny sitcom, similar to the setup of 'the Odd Couple' or suchlike.

Don`t tell me GH is going on another scouting holiday to Australia and we all keep our fingers crossed it is going to be someone like Thurston who signs for us only to find it is another Ben Cross.

| Be interesting to see how Bails does at KR.
What he did at Leeds was what was asked of him to do. But at KR he will need to do more. As the leader of a pack. More drives, more workrate and more minutes. He's a very good athlete and can soak minutes up. He has his final jigsaw piece at Leeds so hopefully a new challenge will re-fire the old beast. For me in 2014 he was too quiet (no bans, trips to red hall on a Tuesday) and seemed to be playing conservative with a combative prop like Bailey let him go the right side of wrong**
But i have to say on kick off for new season, to see Bailey under sticks in red and white will be something of an 'eh' moment.
**by that I dont mean in Wane/Flower incident way.

| I think (or perhaps in the case of the club, Hope) that this could be a cracking move for both parties. As others have suggested, RB may well kick on with renewed passion as he starts a new (and presumably final) chapter of his career, with KR. Fingers crossed the sleeve comes up with the goods and gives us a surprise signing for Christmas.
I wish RB all the best, he has been a good servant to the club, even if the last couple of seasons have been a bit low key.

Wait, you thought GH was going to come back from Aus having secured the signature of someone equivalent to the current Queensland and Kangaroos organiser-in-chief?
I'll grant you there have been some underwhelming signings, but you're in for a lifetime of disappointment if that's what you hope for from a scouting trip!

It will be, usually though when a player north of 30 moves after a long spell at the one club and it constantly remains strange to see them in another kit they've struggled.
I hope he does well but I just have a feeling his heart won't be in it, could see it being similar to Sean Long when he went to Hull from Saints and it never really taking off with form and injuries seeing him stumbling through his contract.

| He has been a good servant to the club and will be remembered fondly alongside a fair few others as we move into a new era but as others have said, He hasn't really produced much over the last couple of years and its definately the right time to part ways imo.
Wish him all the best and hopefully Hull KR can breath some new life into his career.

| Leaving Leeds is rarely a career enhancement but as a Rovers fan I hope Ryan Bailey still has something to offer.
We've just lost Justin Poore a SoO player sadly to a career ending injury of a shattered knee cap, I think Bailey is seen as a similarly aggressive player with good go forward.
Bailey has always been a 'love to hate' character in Hull and in the nearby area of Jon O'Groats to Lands End.............!!!!! |Never known an ordinary player ever get that kind of attention!
If Tom Briscoe was shocked by his 'reception ' from the Hull Fc fans then Ryan Bailey ain't seen nothin' yet but the HKR East Stand will embrace him and the hair on the back of his neck will stand on end when he runs out for his first Hull derby . I guarantee that.
Good luck Rhinos.

| I heard that the Bulls were keen to sign Bailey too, I guess that the lure of SL swung it Hull KR's way,he also gets a caravan there compared to a house in Holme Wood in Bradford so that was more likely the deal clincher
Bailey's reputation as a hard man is only a myth anyway isn't it?
My mates step son Liam Hood reckons he's nowt to be feared what so ever

| Well what can I say. I wish Ryan well in the future and thank him for past services... with the accent on past. He had great promise as a young second rower but IMO never really cut it at the top level as a prop because his go forward was not good enough. In fairness he could be relied upon to put in regular good tackle counts and his experience was good to have on the bench.
But really he has been well past his sell by date for quite some time now and along with Kirke proved big disappointments this season when our first choices were unavailable. Overrated and over-hyped by many he became something of a caricature of his hard-man image that he sadly failed to live up to on the field. Never the less he was a consistent member of our very successful squad over many years and of this he can be truly proud.

| ^ This.
When he looks back over his career at Leeds he should be proud, love him or hate him, he's been an integral part of our team for many years.
The fact that IMO he has never fulfilled his potential is criminal to the extreme.
