I certainly think its an exciting squad - Hardaker, Hall, Watkins, Jones-Bishop & Moon is certainly an exciting backline and probably the fastest one I've seen at Leeds.
As for most talented, or "best" squad, I'm not so sure. I still think the 2004 squad of:

Kylie Leuluai to retire at end of season.

Leaves Ian Kirke, Rob Burrow, Ryan Bailey and Brad Singleton OOC in the forwards, Joe Vickery in the backs.

Hopefully we sign singleton up sooner rather than later

Why the lack of ambition? I don't think we'll concede a point this season.

Is bailey on a 1 year rolling contract ?because its never publicised when he signs on.The club just announces "Bailey is under contract for next season"

Speaking of this pack, does anyone else think it looks lightweight based on the 18 picked for Sunday, knowing Leuluai is the only prop missing?

I think the age of the Props and how Brian Mc aims to utilise them best is more of a worry.
I also think we missed out with Scott Taylor and have made an error not getting Singleton involved straight away and retaining Kylie.
Even now i dont see a place for Kirke or Leului in the 17 and would like the depth to come from the Acadamy or the signing of someone of the potential and calibre of Taylor.

Must just be me that doesn't get the fuss over Taylor.

Decent, but not - at least not yet - of a standard that should be playing week in, week out at a club with title ambitions.

I rate him AG no doubts he's still a bit raw but i think he's a good young prop who along with Singleton would add something to our pack when Kylie and JP eventually retire and Kirke moves on.

These young kids coming through it can be a tough path. I remember it was only a few seasons ago when Liam Watts was ripping up trees down the middle and seems to have stalled since (maybe the club change will re-ignite him). Clarkson had a tough year last year, unable to re-produce earlier seen form. Hard to guage which players will sustain and improve and those that will fall to the side.

I can't believe Burrow's contract expires this year:O! will he sign another deal do you all think?

You can bet your left nut he will - Burrow has been instrumental to our recent and current success, in fact he's playing some of the best football of his career.

He aint goin' nowhere (if you can excuse the double negative).

Like the look of the squad, will be interesting to see what happens at 9 and if mcshane gets good minutes. Hopefully singleton gets some experience at Wakey and gets a chance. Shame about bjb how is vickery for pace??

I dont get the impression he's Scotty Donald type quick but he can certainly motor and supports breaks and can finish from what i've seen.

Agree about Chisholm's pace but there are other parts of his game that were still letting if down last year mostly his defence and under the high ball. He's a fantastic prospect but in danger of being Leeds's own Kevin Penny!

Leeds should dual register their whole squad. If this is planned carefully - and with the luck of the draw - we could end up playing ourselves in the Challenge Cup final.

The last contract he signed it was with Danny McGuire.Danny has already renewed his,so i'm wondering if Rob's talks are getting a bit tough?
