| Will you be expecting to have first dibs on your seat for the 2013 World Cup quarter final tad?
If not, I'm struggling to see what the difference is.

why not. It just like any other RFL event, where they look after the tickets. If Hudds played at a semi at the Galpharm would you expect them to get their season ticket seats?
If the RFL have reserved the seats for some reason (corporate, WAGs etc) then some people are going to miss out, unless they start locating the tickets in random places which would be a nightmare to organise, and wouldn't exactly promote the permium product they are probably trying to sell at inflated values.
The whole reason you're upset about losing the seats is the same reason tey are likely to have been not available for you, and that is because they are good seats, and will give the guests the best possible view of the game.

| Wigan did it last year. Perhaps they realise the value of looking after the season ticket holders more than leeds do.

Maybe, but maybe as has been said above, they have many more seated areas, and a couple of areas which are not usually allocated to specific individuals.
Also, do you know that all Wigan season ticket holders were able to sit in their own seat? Or just the ones who have said they could, much like some of the fans on this page who have said they have been able to access their seat for this game?

| I called into the club last Friday to renew my season ticket a week earlier than I planned so that I could get my Carnegie stand seat for the WCC.
Like Tad I was told that my seats had been sold so I just bought 2 a row or so further up the stand. No real issue, I'd have preferred mine but I knew the "rules".
At least I know I've got proper legroom. I wouldn't have bothered had the game been at Elland Rd. I'm not paying those prices to be totally squashed in & uncomfortable for the entire game.
PS anyone can have my seats for the Boxing Day game since I'll be away in (hopefully) sunny, southern California.

Wigan could because they have a 25,000 all-seater stadium. Leeds couldn't because they don't.
Can't help but think you are moaning for moaning's sake here mate.

Leeds are playing in a RFL event. It is only at Headingley because, logistically, nowhere else was available. I don't see the big deal.
You have a choice, which you have made, to watch at the pub and, TBH, I reckon it's worked out quite well because these days I am coming round to the view that the pub or the settee is by far the best place to watch the game from.'"
Just playing Warnick's / Devil's Advocaat here .... having gone to the trouble of ensuring that season-ticket holders get first dibs, you'd have thought it would be very simple to give said season-ticket holders their usual seats, like HQ do every year when accepting season-ticket renewals.
But, hey-ho, it's only at times like this that I get to see HQ from another angle.
I'm treating it as an adventure, I just hope I don't get lost.
Assuming that my social secretary (aka wife) has actually done the booking by now, that is.
Can't get the staff these days.

| Considering it's an RFL organised game I think giving season ticket holders first dibs on tickets is a privilege and i'm happy with that. It doesn't really bother me where I watch it from so got to say no complaints from me. As long as a big fat barsteward doesn't soil my seat, break it or carve his initials into it he can keep it warm for one game. I'll slum it with the peasants in the South Stand for this particular game, i'd get too carried away in the seats anyway at a game of this importance.

| Just think yourself lucky that you don't have to worry about turning up 40 minutes before kick-off, only to find that the Canadian Wheelchair rugby team have turned up and taken every available seat in the house...

I'll get my usual spot no problem. Just over half way up the SS on line with the 40m line closest to WT. Perfect. I don't see the issue

| If you'd rather not go than sit in a seat 30 feet away from your usual one then you have some very strong principles. Or OCD. Or both. It's a plastic seat on a concrete step. True story.

It has feelings.
It's a plastic seat on a concrete step with feelings.
Once you add feelings to the scenario it's a whole different matter.
You have feelings. You wouldn't want just [iANYBODY[/i sitting on your face would you?
True story.

There's a few people round here you wouldn't want to ask that question to.

Limber enough to mount anything that moved. Until I met Mrs BB of course (ommitting a couple of 'incidents' lets say)

| Got 4 good seats together in North Stand on Saturday, about 10 metres from where I normally sit. As only two of us are ST holders presumably we have 2 belonging to other season ticket holders. They, if they are attending will also presumably get tickets close to where they normally sit. IMO, it only becomes a problem if too many ST holders take up the option to get an extra seat, as we did, leaving some without seats at all.
In any case, if the game had been played at Elland Road or elsewhere, I'd have been at least three and a half miles from my own seat, so I don't really see what the fuss is about.
