I am not so sure it needs breaking up. But why can we not use Burrow as the impact interchange, ala Roby, rather than have Diskin?

I think from an RL point of view its frustrating to see a team do a good defensive set, then cock it all up for no reason on the 5th

I don't buy this Clarke hates leeds thing. He provides generally good objective analysis of the game. There are plenty of times when he picks out what leeds do better than any other team in SL, and other things in our favour, but people are too blinkered to hear it

Listen close enough and you'll see what I mean. I agree with you generally, and think Clarke gives a decent analysis. But he doesn't seem to like Leeds. Like I said listen close enough and you'll hear what I mean

I understand what you are saying but why let out a big groan of dissapointment then say ''thats the 2nd time now that leeds have had a penalty on the 5th tackle !! '' ?? I'm sorry but a commentator should not be making such comments. I thought he was out of order.

He doesn't physically have the build or technique to break a tackle, and his confidence looks completely shot.
In fairness to the guy, anytime he has actually received a pass when in an attacking move, he's usually been inches away from the touchline and has had to check back inside.
Maybe a season too far in Leed's colours'"

One of Roby strengths is his defence - Burrow does not give the defensive stability Roby gives - imagine if Burrow defended in the middle - he would be permenantly concussed.
One of the reasons I think the squad need shaking up is the integration of new players - it must be very difficult coming into a set up where the rest of the players have been playing together for 6/8 years.

I'm not dissagreeing on breaking up certain points. But I don't see the rush for breaking up just 3 players, when all 3 are versatile enough to move elsewhere. Had you mentioned more across the squad then fair enough.
Andy Roby's defence is poor to be honest. He is as much a one trick pony as Burrow, in that his assett is running at people and breaking the tackle.

Agree totally with that. We look a better team no doubt when Ali's on the park. He's a huge player for us if we are to win anything this year. We miss another top class 2nd rower as i posted earlier.
Don't agree at all with getting rid of one out of mcguire burrow sinfield, but out of interest which one are after getting rid of and why?

| I thought McGuire was very good last night (apart from the high shot) at scrum half, much more direct.

Yes agree there. He looked much sharper than he has been for a while. I thought Hall, Smith, Webb, Ali, Peacock, Senior and Sinfield were all very good last night. Although i would say Hull gave them too much room to play at times.

Giving them too much room, has more to do with Leeds controlling the ruck, and getting quick PTB, than Hull allowing us time and space

I would get rid of Burrow out of the 3, but I don't think we should get rid of any.
Eccleshill would most certainly say Sinfield. He has never really got the effect of Sinfield on this team.

| My point is simple...Hull were very ordinary and made us look good. Don't really disagree with much of your comeback, my view is simply that we are not yet fully clicking into gear and last night could easily be a bit of a false dawn. I am a big fan of McGuire, Burrow and Sinfield - still don't think McGuire is 100% and looks to have lost a yard or two. Sinfield is absolutely crucial to the side.
I really don't understand the Diskin/Buderus idea their roles seem to duplicate rather than complement each other, with Diskin more a poor man's Buderus!

If any team is going to move forward they have to evolve and change style/patterns of play - look at Manchester Utd - they are constantly changing personnel and patterns of play - that is why they are the best have been for the best part of 15 years - Ferguson is a master at integrating players into a pattern and then changing the pattern to suit the players.
The Rhinos have stagnated as have Saints IMO - it is no suprise Saints are willing to let Long go - they know they cannot change with him in the side.
Of the three I would let Sinfield go or change the way he plays - move him into the second row with little/no playmaking involvement.

Probably the best passer of a ball out of the three - if anything he should be the one at first receiver dictating play and letting McGuire/Burrow operate off him the way Pryce does off Long.

Absolute boll*cks !!!! More like he's coming to the end of his career and they have the salary cap to think about.
And re man utd - fergie only gets rid of big name players when players either think they're bigger than the club (ince, kancheslkis, stam, van nistelrooy) or past thier best (beckham).
''Move Sinfield to 2nd row with little/no playmaking involvment...'' why on earth would you do that ?? Sinfields best traits are kicking game, tackling and creativity, his worst trait is his go forward ability... taking creativity away from him would be stupidity. Am i so glad your not the coach of the Rhinos.
I'd love to see you tell Mclennan or the Leeds players your 'grand plan' for Sinfield/getting rid of one of the 3...and see there faces
