Another reason we need Huddersfield to beat Millwall is to open the gap between them and Southampton. If Southampton somehow end up getting in the play offs and we don't go up automatic, Saints will win the play offs.

It should give the team that confidence lift that they can win without him aswell,although i wouldn't be surprised if he came on and scored the goal that got us up.

I don't see what we've got to gain from dropping him from the bench - if we're losing or desperate for a goal have we really got anyone more likely to make an impact (yes I know Beckford's impact has been nil lately but he's still a natural goalscorer).

When Beckford plays we tend to try and find him over the top at the earliest opportunity, which often results in the ball coming straight back at us. Whils he is undoubtedly the best striker at the club, perhaps the lack of a star player up there is forcing us to pass the ball abit more. Add that to the fact that IMO since the FA cup games his mind is already at his new club, Gradel and Becchio would be my starting pair upfront. Of course Beckford off the bench with a point to prove could be a very dangerous animal as well.

I hope he does, it would be a shame if his spell at Leeds ended on a sour-ish note.

It's a shame Norwich nicked that last minute winner against us a couple of weeks back otherwise we'd of been only 3 points behind now and had a great chance to win the league. There having a wobble but 6 points with 4 games to go will be too much for us IMO and they have a better goal difference.

Yep, I was/am far more disappointed that we failed to turn up in our home games against Millwall and Swindon. Had we won or drawn those games the run in would be looking a fair bit more confrortable.

I hate LUFC, never an easy ride.

A few weeks ago i thought the season was over, team lost its confidence, Swindon and Millwall looking strong.
Now its turned on its head

Not sure about unimportant. These 2 teams are behind us in the league and still would have been even if we had taken more points from them teams you have said above. Yes I agree we would have more breathing space but I would still say important and in this league we have got to be looking at winning most of our home games.

Had we taken 12 points rather than 2 in the games I mentioned we'd have been almost up now.

I'm getting a season ticket next year and would be 10 times better in the CCC. A few more derbys and big away days. I think we must get 2nd otherwise I won't be confident in the play offs who ever we get.

I'd say we have the best set of fixtures of the top 6. But I think belief and bottle have more to do with it than relative strengths of teams and players.

With Millwall and Swindon playing on the final day the key game for me is Charlton, but the next 2 games must yield 6 pts

I think so yes although no doubt we'll find a way to mess it up.

I just hope to god it doesn't have to be decided on who gets the automatic promotion spot on the last game on the season. As long as we make sure our fate is in our hands, and not reliant on other fixtures.
