Given his lack of pre season Momorivski being injured isn't ideal, he needs plenty of game time. Thought he did well second half last week so this is a blow for the player and the team. Do we know what the Injury is ??

The only problem with playing Goudemand and Bentley together in the starting 13 is mass; we can't afford to lose the early collisions. I think Goudemand is a better bench middle or starting second row personally. I'd go:

Miller
Roberts, Newman, Martin, Handley
Croft, Frawley
Mik, Ackers, Holroyd
Bentley, McDonnell
Smith

Goudemand, Sangare, Ruan, O'Connor.

Mom hasn't been bad by any stretch, missed alot of pre season and one of many new players.
Will take time to settle like most do that come over from aus

Don't think they can bring in McCormack against Saints, so has to be Martin in the centre with Bentley taking the available 2nd row spot. Ruan should keep Donaldson out.

Just hopeful of an 80 minute performance and no sin bins.

Off the top of my head his only assist for any of Ash's tries was once in the game against Leigh

Mom hasn't been that bad at all. He is a quality player he just needs time to bed in and find a groove, maybe when not playing in near freezing temperatures. We haven't seen him get into space yet but he should have some toe too.

Mom still finding his way in a new team and I'm sure we'll see what he can doin attack soon.Some players take longer to settle than others I remember when Senior signed for Leeds in his first few outings he was awful.I would definitely keep Ruan in over Donno.If Donno plays he will be holding back a future player and that for mine doesn't make sense.

Think you’re underestimating the other work he does, it’s not just about assists. Him and ash seem to have a great working relationship, especially in defence.

They also switch positions a lot depending on the flow of the game. He’s not been flashy but not nearly as bad as some are saying.

I too am a Mom fan Chris but he was pretty poor first half against Leigh I thought; couple of errors.

I'm not worried about him though, you don't play NRL first grade for the sides he has and for that long without being decent.

He's been poor, zero attacking threat, a few obvious mistakes and a few where he's gave the pass way too early without committing his man.

Decent defensively, but overall poor so far, emphasis on so far, which is what my original post stated...Unless you think him missing a good chunk of pre season, including all friendlys, his performances so far on the field and being injured 4 games into the season, represents a good start to his Leeds stint?

Things turned around in the 2nd half and there were positive performances from several . Ash seems to have developed a good combination on the left hand side with Mom, hopefully once Mom has settled in and got used to our summer rugby the combo will be really good.

So if he’s been decent defensively why does that mean he’s overall poor tho?

It’s disappointing he’s picked up an injury, I wouldn’t say he’s been poor, I wouldn’t say he’s been great, like quite a few other players.

On momo, I watched him a bit last week and thought we was struggling, it’s early days but he’s looked sluggish so far on and off the ball. It’s a long year so Hopefully he will get better as we go on.

Lees and Batchelor could be back for Saints Friday which adds to their strength in the pack.
The plus side is they may be under cooked.

We beat the likes of Saints, Catalans and Wigan last season. From this perspective, winning one against Saints now in isolation doesn't necessarily mean much at all. Consistency in our win-loss record over a longer run of games, and not putting in many below par performances leading to capitulation against the likes of Cas and London would be more meaningful. Also keeping down the points conceded per game, and relying less on 'lady luck' in close games every week would also be positive signs for me. I'd also like to see us look more threatening in the opposition 20 instead of relying on skill shift plays on the last tackle when we're 40m or so out... Lots to work on, but to be expected after 4 games in.
