I was just chuckling to myself, there’s a regular contributor on here that has said a couple of times in Smith’s defence something like “well would you want an Ian Watson style of rugby ?”. A somewhat pertinent question when you consider the recent form of both Leeds and Huddersfield and their upcoming clash. Huddersfield have given out a fair few spankings to teams this season whereas Leeds haven’t spanked anybody. I’m interested rather looking forward to Fridays clash, and I might have an answer to said contributors question by about 10pm Friday night. I just hope it’s for the right reasons.

Hudds are well drilled. Watson is a coach I have great respect for.
But then they have this xfactor Tongan half back. Is a bit robust but can make any pass or kick!

I can predict how this is going to go, Smith will get sacked soon and despite the writing being on the wall for over a year that he isn't good enough GH will have absolutely no one lined up or even half an idea who could replace him. Cheap option is picked like recruiting from within, maybe even give it to Chev. Season is finished by the end of April and we extend the transition period for another 4 years.GH picks another cheap option to replace Chev and it all starts again.

Back to cheap interim leadership for rest of season. Then another coach in, squad rebuild, 3 year plan which is unlikely to work out. Players still playing for Smith, so honestly think fans are patient /accept win nada this season, or walk away for a while. There is enough good stuff being played to suggest we may get there in next 2 years…..
Need to keep the better players together at the club. At least NRL won’t be pinching Croft in near future, which would have happened if he was flying……

I think we need a new owner who really wants to win. This will be 7th straight season outside the top 4 in a 12 team league where 3 or 4 don’t have a pot to p1ss in. In the whole

It’s been clear for a long time that GH is past it, he needs to go and Smith, if Caddick can’t do that and spend big on a proper rugby set up then he should sell up and look for someone like Danson at Wigan who wants to win.

I want GH to be relieved of his position, he is a director so it needs a strong stance from the owner, Caddick to persuade him to go and play golf.

Caddick has given GH full reign for nearly 30 years, with a lot of success, however since the great team retired, it’s been very poorly managed by GH and In IMO his level of performance would have led to the sack at Saints or. Wigan.
