I never wanted him there, I thought he would be a bad apple, I was worried about him being a disruptive influence, and after the Cas/KR stint thought he was finished, truth is he had an undiagnosed injury that 3 separate medical teams hadn't picked up.
He's just cracked on with his job, I guess you can't fault that.

The point is Bailey has been hysterically criticised by opposition fans for years, on the evidence of a few very minor on-field incidents and some rumoured off-field antics. Somebody suggested that the OTT reaction might have had something to do with race, and TBH when I read some of the absolute horse manure on the wire board (and elsewhere) about Bailey it was very hard to think otherwise.

The comparisons with Boyd got my goat because he only played for Warrington because he was effectively banned out of the game in Oz for being a genuinely malicious thug. Bailey hasn't come close to what Boyd deliberately did to Darryl Brohman or Billy Johnstone - on or off the field.

Tbh I reckon Bailey would do a decent job for us for a year or two especially this season with Galloway out for half of it I'd have Bailey, but I really hope we bring in a hooker from somewhere also.

This would be desperation signing and a signal of the clubs ambitions, or lack of, moving forwards. I don't really see what Bailey could bring to the team these days that a Baldwinson or the like couldn't.

By my reckoning, I reckon he'd only be getting around £25k/£30k a year nowadays, so I could see it happening.

Would be a real sign of the times in terms of signings though. Simply awful!

Here is an idea. Don't sign Ryan Bailey and do give Jordan Baldwinson some genuine game time. 2 birds 1 stone .

On a serious note it shouldn't/won't happen.

I was pleased for him last year, getting back on track/discussing his rugby not antics. But if we re signing a Gareth Ellis style player back, like Hull did a couple of years ago i'd be all over it. Leeds are short of real quality in that pack and need some adding. Bails would do some form of a job, but think we need a real difference maker.

Not sure about the won't bit. Bailey's retweeted a couple of tweets from people saying they hope the rumours of him returning to Leeds are true.

i think we all realize by now that if Baldwinson could not get a gig last season ,he is not going to get one this .
