I hope this is to get CJ back fully fit and ready for action, rather than a prelude to something else.

I personally think a completely new Ex NRL 9 would improve us for next year, though know that won’t happen .

We've bigger problems than our reserve hooker. Give O'Connor an off-season to train there and he may well come on. Re Johnson he's only just been re-signed, so Smith clearly sees something.

Yeh I think Smith sees O'Connor as a 9.
He has the all action game for it.
Just need to refine his passing and game awareness.
Clearly Dwyer is finished at the club.
I agree with Shabs, I think he will be looking for an experienced NRL 9 in the next couple of seasons.
Aussie coaches really value the hooker position as the most important in the team.
Be interesting on Johnson. His defence needs to improve to have a chance in SL.

Said all along O`Connor at 9 but do think he needs to improve his passing from the floor.

I know he's making big tackle counts but those stats again with the ball last week from Bentley are awful 20m from 5 carries really?!

They are very low numbers and
I’m guessing here Seth but watching last week I think Smith may have tasked him in leading our goal line defence, he puts in a lot of effort in our 20.

I wouldn’t worry too much about stats. Bentley is a very important player on the field for us.

With Leeming and Austin out especially its about trying to overcome their pack advantage (as it will be against many teams for a while) without Leemings guile it may be too much tonight now. I can't see O'connor taking advantage of any yards on offer which was pivotal last week.

How on this earth was that a red for Singleton? Not in a million years.

We need the same level of performance from Myler and Sezer as last week to have any chance tonight.
I think it will be a good, close game.

Their bench has a heavyweight look compared to ours. Will take a really disciplined performance to get a win. Not our strong point.

So it’s not exactly a classic, but a couple of things stand out. We look very slow in the line, stood watching. They look tired already, and long as we can stay with them we should have the last 20.
