Whoever the 'fans' who were booing Tomkins, and cheering when he got speared in the second half, support are a disgrace and need to have a look at themselves.

I was embarrased to be a RL fan at times tonight, it was just pathetic. I was an ENGLAND GAME FFS, put aside the club rivalry and get behind all 17 players who take the field!

It was embarrasing to watch, with people who do not watch RL on a regular basis.

Tackle was not dangerous. He threw the man to the ground, he did not lift between the legs he did not pile drive him, he picked him up and dumped him.

If a player cannot grab a player and drive him back then we may as well give up playing rugby as a contact sport.

It was not high, or low, the ball was still active as was the man. Just because it's a big guy on a small guy and just because the guy gets smashed does not make it an illegal tackle.

After being in and around outside the staduim before the game tonight, there were fans from various clubs both Super League and below chanting their own club songs while they were out for the night.

You could tell there were plenty of other clubs fans in the South Stand tonight because the rendition of "We all hate Leeds" after the first England try was very audible.

Don't tar Rhinos fans alone for what happened to players from non-Leeds clubs tonight.

at the Catalans v W***n game last week no opposition fan out of the 9000 or so crowd booed Sam,in fact they were in awe of a great young player and showed total respect & admiration for a top class performer

Anger management training for the whole town this morning I think, lets see if some counselling can get that huge chip off their shoulders once and for all.

I was stupid to boo, but to suggest it was only Leeds fans was stupid. For some reason RL fans feel the need to blame other teams players when England fail as well. Myler was crap, Sinfield was crap. yadda yadda yadda. People never mention their own though. I think McIlorum was very quiet, but I'm sensible enough to understand that it's his first international game and needs time to bed in and probably didin' want to do too much.

Don't expect anything to be posted by Wigan fans tomorrow morning.
They'll all be in church praying that the RL gods take action on those nasty Leeds fans (and only Leeds fans of course) who booed their Saviour.

I didn't go (prior engagement) and I haven't watched my Sky+ yet but having read the above I can imagine it all. I can perhaps explain the booing?? - Sam Tomkins makes everyone's (except Gooner's) toes curl! He has such amazing skills, pace and talent but all admiration is completely wiped by his underhand tactics, near-cheating, his ability to con refs, his seeming intention to injure players he's tackling, his arrogance and his 'ratboy style'. He is a nasty piece of work on the rugby field and I could go on. That's not what RL fans cheer - it's what we despise. Sadly he is an example of all that needs to change to make RL proud again. Who needs the BBC to give it a bad name?

Please, please, please get t-shirts made with this printed on them. I would love to see all the away support in them in a few weeks at the DW!

He's paid to be professional and take the abuse, not that he does. He's the worst sportsman in the league. Flipping V's when winning, squirting water at away fans when losing and making rugby as laughable as football when he plays for penalties.
