Even Yorkshire TV stopped covering 'The Roses Game' years ago ... This is not the 1930s, where rubbish was spoken about people walking from Wakfield in the dead of night just to join the queue to see a day's play.

The thing is with Yorkshire, unlike a lot of first class counties, they have access (and used to use on a regular basis) many suitable 'out grounds'. Middlesborough, Sheffield or Scarborough .... Not to mention Bradford Park Avenue.

I thought they were going to develop BPA as a half decent ground .... What about playing there or Scarborough ?

Test Cricket, then Twenty/20s, then limited over cup games then the county championship ... That's how to grade crowds in cricket.

They only play 1st class matches at Headingley & Scarborough now.
Other grounds are used for 2nd XI & Academy fixtures.
