A pet hate of mine is people who have to park on the doorstep of where they want to be because they are lazy

It's no good people saying there is a notice in the ticket office - you have to go in there before you see it, then when you go outside you've already got a ticket! We've all parked there for years and there's never been a problem. Incidentally, when I parked there, there was a white van parked also, and a chap emptying rubbish from one of the houses. He said the students had gone home and he was clearing the place out!

So he was the landlord then, or working for the landlord ?

If I were the landlord or working for the landlord then I'd make sure I had a residents parking permit wouldn't you ?

how about looking at the signs along the road telling you that you can't park there? If you take the choice to park there when the signs clearly say you shouldn't then you risk getting a ticket.

It's pointless, he doesnt understand plain English....obviously.

There are 2 signs opposite the ticket office relating to parking restrictions. One, and only one, says that it's a restricted zone and you can only park for, I think, an hour. All the others say Residents Only. There's no difference in the bays, so I always make sure I park under the sign saying Limited Time, which is the nearest to the indoor cricket school.

A pet hate of mine is having to park anywhere more than 5 yards away from where I want to get to.

If I ever fancy a subway for lunch rather than walk 10 mins into town and ten mins back I will often drive to the one at Elland Road because I can park outside the door.

If all parking spaces are occuppied and there's a row of empty disabled parking spaces should I be able to use them?

I often think I should be able to but never do.

As long as there is one left for me, I couldn't care less.

It always amuses me when I pull up in my big red van with blacked out windows, alloys ect.. and all the old fogies winding their neck out desperately looking for a blue badge on the dash (or lack of one, so they could have a pop), even though they are already happily parked up themselves. Whats the point?

Because they want to show you some dis-respec' its a pre-requisit of getting old.
