Looking forward to this one. We desperately need a win in this one to validate everything we did over easter. We looked soft and unmotivated against Wigan and we rested most of our best players against Widnes. That was all with this game in mind, so we need to back that up to stop our bubble from well and truly bursting! I do worry that we're a little of the boil at the moment though, even without easter coming into play. I fear Leeds will win, as they usually do when it matters

Really don't know about this one, the fact that Saints really took their foot off the gas over Easter frightens me a little. It's as if they were prepared to drop a position or two in readiness for Saturday.

If we start the game like we did against Salford it'll be over before half time. I think we're stronger in the 3/4's so that's where we should channel our energies. If Amor's playing they'll match us in the forwards and they've enough quality in their halves to cause serious damage, especially Walsh.

Toughest game of the season so far IMO.

There appears to be a bit of a buzz and feeling of genuine anticipation surrounding this CC game which may indicate the possibility of registering a rare five-figure attendance for an event which isn't covered by a season ticket, cheap offers and free tickets.

I dunno, having an extra game hasn't done us a lot of harm going into big games against Saints in the past.....

I'm not interested in it. Being to all games this year but the challenge cup. Really don't care win or lose this week. Don't get me wrong, always want Leeds to win, but won't be as disappointed if we lose Saturday as I was other week against them.

Don't agree. If we choose to use our 3/4 line rather than bulldoze down the middle all game we will score against them. I think the packs are evenly matched. Too close to call and should be a cracker.

Saints fans appear giddy having rediscovered their enthusiasm this season for obvious reasons, therefore a 3K-ish turnout from them at Headingley on Saturday might provoke the possibility of a five-figure attendance. We shall have to wait and see.

Singleton needs to watch is shoulder charge, flied in with 2 in last 2 games, whilst I applaud heavy hitting, don't want him copping a ban. Better on the pitch than on the sidelines.

Amor, Percival and Swift all named in the Saints squad - feel a little better having seen that, but apparently Amor/Swift still 50/50 according to Brown.

2 Cracking hits that need to be made legal imo I agree with our Coach they were "face on" and hit other forwards don't see the problem.
The late ones or those that a directly side on and high deserve sending offs and bans but what Singo did imo was put 2 classy big hits in but the powers that be now deem them illegal.

I agree with the theory but as you acknowledge them are deemed illegal so you've got to box clever. I don't want to see bans when very avoidable.

The definition of the shoulder charge seems to have gone from "leading with the point of the shoulder" towards the Union definition of "not using the arms to hit and wrap" as the season has gone on.

The former can be dangerous (for ball carrier and tackler alike) the latter much less so. The balance needs redressing IMO.

Late contact with the shoulder should be illegal - thought it already was before banning shoulder charges.

Contact with the shoulder to the head of the ball carrier should be illegal - thought it already was after Bailey's hit on Fa'asavalu got Graham all riled up.

However with the ball tucked under your arm, dip your shoulder into the defender and hey presto that's fair game.
