Saw him stood next to Lee Mossop on Saturday night and he was every bit as big as him!

| Quote ="Harrigan"I got a bit bored tonight so I sorted Watkins wiki page out because before it had roughly 5 lines about him. The game by game lists took ages but the rest was easy. I'm getting a bit worried though... I don't want to end up with an obsession like Bloodbath has

Don't worry about that just worry about getting the stats correct.
You're missing a game from his total. Without checking every line of the entry it appears to be: 20th June 2009, Harlequins (A) - SL Round 17.
Don't let it happen again.

It was late!
And I have missed a cup game off somewhere too. I noticed last night but the formatting was getting on my nerves so I thought I'd get back to it today. Plus let's face it, it wouldn't be Wikipedia if it was all correct would it. Might do some other players if I get bored again too... Because that's how good my social life is at the mo

I've actually just realised what you mean. Are you saying he has played 42 games for the Rhinos? I just took that from the Rhinos website. I do believe yours will be more accurate though oh great one

That I am.

I'd hope so. As you said though it's probably accurate enough for Wiki.

| I'm 100% sure that he did get on. These things are always best established at the time and while queries can still arise after the event they are thankfully relatively few and far between.
In this particular instance Watkins featured in coach McClennan's post-match comments: speaking of Webb's knee injury, [i=#0000BF“he copped a bit of a bang on the knee. It was starting to seize up a bit, so it was a great opportunity for us to give Lee Smith a bit of time at full-back and bring Kallum Watkins on in the centre. Brent should be all right. We’ll ice him up and look after him.” [/i
In addition the match was televised in full by Sky and Watkins goal-line defence was exposed by Chad Randall for the Quins final score. For absolute confirmation 'rhinovulcan' has an uploaded video on that sharing website we're not allowed to paste links to.
Watkins Opta stats from the game were:
23 metres, 4 carries, 4 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 1 run from dummy half, 1 error
(There again the Leeds official site may well be correct and everyone else was tripping.)

Yes I think we need to bring a centre in who is more solid and has more experience, these two are going to get knocked about silly.

I think it's an exaggeration to say they will be knocked about from day 1. However I'm also disappointed that GH has not signed a quality experienced centre who Watkins and Hardaker could learn from. I think Gary thought on similar lines but no one of the right quality was available and probably that's why a pay as you play offer was made to Senior. I think GH and Brian McD will see how the pair progress and if there are probems/injuries then someone might be brought in. Remember we're well under the salary cap!

| What would be the point in signing an experienced centre - who would most likely demand a decent sized salary - to sit on the sidelines and "mentor" Watkins and Hardaker?
The latter has earned himself the right to start the season as first choice on the basis of his performances in the playoffs last year, while the former was a first choice before his injury last year. It's only right they should get first shot at the position in 2012.

Let's hope that Watkins and Hardaker progress into quality centres but I still think there could be a signing mid-season or for 2013. Next time you see GH ask him?

Not dissapointed regarding the lack of signings in that position. We have IMO the most exciting centres in the competition and Ablett, Delaney and smith who can give more than satisfactory cover. As for the cap space. Yes we have had some big wages go off cap but the deals of our youngsters on the 5 year deals will have eaten into that cap space. And although there may be some room, not sure how much is left.

| I am glad we have stuck with Watkins and Hardaker, these 2 look like they could be the 'Burrow and Mcguire' of the 3/4s. However I would say that although you want every player in your team to be really good, centre is probably the least important position in the team. We have manged to win Grand Finals with a makeshift centre in Ablett we would never have done it with a makeshift halves or props.

Have to agree with all you state. Watkins and Hardaker are an exciting pair....but without those quality half backs. props ....AND hooker they will not have the platform to properly shine.
(Still state we will miss Buderus badly this season.....unless Hood can step up pretty quickly. Hope he does).

| watkins was devastating in attack and poor in defence.cost us two tries.
hardaker looked as if he was playing on the wrong side. he cut infield every single time when a natural left sided player would have put his winger in a couple of times

| I thought the 2 Horne Tries and the Welham one were as much down to Sinfield and Smith tbh mate and when they replayed the Hodgson try on the screen i thought he dropped the ball.
I do think we'll both agree our right fringe defence needs work especially in our 20/10m.
In Hardakers case in the 2nd half at least there were a few calls from our end of the ground for him to pass to hall rather than step but the cover defence had drifted and imo the step inside was the right call.
Again i think that combination can do with improvement which i think in time it will but we need faster ball to give Zak any chance of putting Hall away.
Finally with decent supply Watkins will score plenty this year.
