Doesn't say 100% if he's back. It says high hopes and not confirmed as fit. To be honest not too concerned he's been out for a month and will be rusty and not match fit. A few knocks if not 100% ready to come back and he could be soon subbed and a waste of a man in the 17.

It's only Wakefield, so I'd be tempted to rest him another couple of weeks, and bring him back for the Semi-Final game.
He can use that game to get match fitness ready for another game against St Helens at Old Trafford

I think we have lacked McGuires cutting edge since he's been off. If he's fit enough to play, he plays. This is the play-offs, and we need our strongest team out.

He shouldn't come back if not 100%... we have been here before! Equally, I hope the lads & the coaching staff are not thinking the same as you (albeit your comment may be tongue in cheek) about Wakefield! They are the form team of the competition and have won 7 from 7, beating three other teams from the top 8 in the process. They need respect and the lads to turn up... otherwise an early exit is a real possibility.

Sinfield/McGuire in the halves, Lunt to start and Burrow to be introduced from the bench around the thirty minute mark.

That formation worked for Leeds last season and while Lunt is no Buderus it still represents their best chance of making progress.

Personally I would prefer Ward/McGuire in the halves, Lunt as hooker and Burrow on the bench with Sinfield at LF . But it aint gonna happen.

I think he has been in the enviable position of arriving at a club without a hooker (or one that got any time off the bench) which makes him look amazing. I would imagine petrol starts to look pretty tasty after being in the desert for a week!

What might make it easier to include Ward at 13/6 is Delaneys injury and the fact Hauraki is sh##.

It appears that everything realistically has to start with Sinfield at stand-off these days and all the other pieces have to fit in around that.

Given the above I would be tempted to start with either Clarkson or Ward at loose with the other on the bench with two props and Burrow. Ablett would be in the centre.

Barring injury in the game the three-quarters are on for the full eighty and stay in their allocated roles. The two bench props replace the two starting props as required and the other six changes are used based on the game situation, hopefully allowing Jones-Buchanan and Delaney to take a spell on the sidelines at some stage.

You obviously don't understand the dynamics at the Rhinos!!

I understand that sometimes in finals moving him to stand off worked & sometimes it's helped produce a tactical kicking game in playoffs not seen in normal rounds.

For season long entertainment though a stand off that doesn't threaten the opposition line more often than not isn't my choice.

It probably isn't the coach's either, he has shown Webb and Bailey who is the boss not he has the balls to take on Sinfield though?

In fact, I'd actually rest McGuire until next season so he's fit for the World Club Challenge.

I can't see him signing for a top club until after he's completed his Testimonial year at Leeds.
