| Agree with Tad re-Burrows individual effort.
The Lawrence try was very well worked but the final pass made it stand out more aftrer a pathetic effort from Shenton on Gilmour.
In terms of fast flowing RL i thought Hardakesr 1st last night matched it.

Including the obligatory forward pass (allegedly).

From the SS side of the ground the passes were fine when the replay went up on the big screen showing a "from behind" view the Sinfield to JJb looked iffy but i'm 100% it was flat at worse and the other 2 were fine.

The ref gave it so it must have been ok, was my view of it from the Carnegie stand.

Nha. Sinnys was fine. Ablett to Delaney was a mile forward.

Was that not the one where Delaney did very well to reach back with one hand to collect? If so and it was forward then Delaney must have really really over ran the play.

| They showed the side on replay on the big screen and all passes left the hands going backwards. Doesn't make any difference where the pass ends up. All were fine and it was a superb try.

Looked fine from where I was sat but must admit that I didn't see the replay.
Agree with what someone earlier said burrows was a great try

Danny Brough's try was almost carbon copy of Rob Burrow's try. Slipped a tackle, had the full back to beat, both did it sublimely. Would be a shame to laud over Brough's more simply because it was on Sky.

| The pass from Cudjoe for Lawrence's try was a moment of sublime skill. He sold the pass with his eyes, deliberately looking as if he was ignoring the runner and heading for the corner before the flick out of the back of the hand. Class cameo.
If we're going to compare Brough and Burrow's tries lets remember Burrow had more than a snail at full back to round.

I was going to say that too, but didn't want to lace my post with too much bias.
Two very VERY similar tries. Burrow's was the harder to score IMO. The Saints defender dropped off Brough, whereas Burrow had to make his own space. And as you've implied Gareth, I'd much prefer to be attempting a side step on Wello than pretty much any other SL Full Back! For all his outstanding FB qualities, defending one-on-one against a half back isn't one of them!

| In fairness I haven't yet seen Burrow's try v Dragons.... But he does seem to be in a rich long distance scoring vein at the moment. Long may it continue.

Think Brough's try... but with defenders actually trying to tackle him.

| Surprised Burrow's long try scoring run doesn't appear to be reflected in his stats this week.
Not many (neutrally observed) tries get me animated these days. The Lawrence one did. My Try Of The Season so far (despite Shenton's attempt on Gilmour.)

We're you underwhelmed by him when he outjumped Hall to score at Headingley this season?
He'd have been a much better option than Delaney at centre however that ship has long since sailed.

It had absolutely no bearing on my assessment of his abilities as a centre.

| I thought Brough's was better than Burrows TBF. Both came from poor defence though where no one really attempted a tackle. The Lawrence try was the best of the weekend though. I had to rewind and watch it a few times at real time the pass from Cudjoe was that good.

| Brough had to beat an international class full back for his try, whereas Burrow had to beat a winger playing as a full back.
Burrow's was also in the 80th minute against an already well-beaten side.
Brough's try was in the 33rd minute.
Take your pick as to which was the better accomplishment.

The same full back who couldn't catch a forward over a distance of (I think) 40 metres? (I'm thinking Lauitiiti).
