Yeah but you're missing the significance of how much that try actually achieved/won...... it wasn't just the win/2 points ....it was the league leaders trophy, no less.....in the dying seconds, AFTER the hooter had sounded

| Quote ="FlexWheeler"Neither wide to west or MM had a trophy on the line, and neither was the last game of the season (regular). MM was just a run of the mill league game, mid way through the season. The wide to west, although in the playoffs wasn't a knockout game for either team as it was the old 5 team format where 2nd played 3rd for the right to play 1st, both teams had 2 bites at the cherry.
Halls is most dramatic in SL history and looking back, probbaly springboarded us to the treble.'"

| Apparently, we haven't conceded a single point after the 61st minute of any GF we've played in.

Normally put a decisive stamp on the game around that area as well. Brace of tries in 2007, getting 8 points advantage over saints in 2008, webb hall and ablett tries 2011, ablett and hall tries 2012, walters try 2015.
Opposition always score first try when we win, except 2007.
All the grand final wins we've had mirror each other, really strange.

I remember Sinfield one year (think the 2012 GF) pointed out that JJB said under the posts after an early try conceded "it's ok lads, we never score first".....when Burgess dived over my mind shot back to Myler scoring with pretty much the same early time on the clock and shrugging my shoulders thinking this is how we always do it.
Also a great memory for me, Seven Nation Army by White Stripes being blasted out seconds after the final hooter....great stuff

| My Top 10 moments
#1 Ryan Hall try at Huddersfield in Super 8's:
The scenes as he charged towards the try line in the away end was something I'll never forget. Beer through the air, bodies flying everywhere etc. Was incredible
#2 Saints away in League: That first half was mind blowing as we tore apart the champions with ease
#3 Hull FC away in League: Terrible first half, incredible second half performance to gain the points
#4 signing Mitch Garbutt: Mitch who? Brilliant signing who has benefited our pack incredibly
#5 Jamie Peacock try in Challenge Cup Semi Final: a sidestep of a 21 year old centre
#6 Hardaker try against Warrington in Super 8s: utter class to score a messmirising try to showcase why he should be England's number one
#7 "Leeds Won't Win Another Game This Season"- Phil Clarke: oh....
#8 Keinhorst moving to second row: brilliant decision as we now see a player who is comfortable with his new position
#9 Kylie & JP in front of South Stand after Saints game was incredible
#10 'That' 40/20: Sinfield piece of genius changed the game and gave us confidence

| There's so many we could list one i will mention is how Mc.D "unleashed us" this year and gave us what we all wanted to see with that back line getting quality ball as early as possible irrepsective of field position or opposition.
Then when it got down to the business end and we hit a wall ,lost key players we re-grouped and showed we were also tough enough to go toe to toe & beat the odds to get an unprecedented treble!
Also seeing Walters & Keinhorst come off the bench early in the second half to play key roles in that win which imo must have cemented the trust the Coach must now have in them especially Walters thus hopefully ridding us of the 15/16 man -squad.

| That 40/20 was a real highlight.
Hall scoring at Hudds made me go mental the most this season though. Cant remember the last time I celebrated that much. Probably when Beckford scored the winner against Bristol Rovers?

| There was a moment when Oloughlin gave him some grief towards the end that looked unnecessary. After Farrell in that game and after 2010 I do wonder what hes done to upset them. He does come up with a lot of big plays against them. Is it that?

Yes, maybe Farrell would've kicked the ball at and slide in on anyone who scored those tries, but part of me feels that both times it being McGuire after the Rugby Gods incident of 2010 makes me feel they don't like him.

| Great thread.
What a rollercoaster season.
I won't do a top 10 but the ones that stand out for me:
Final Whistle at the GF
Huddersfield last 6 seconds try.
Sinfields 40/20.
Keinhorsts GF try, brought the dream back from the dead for one last time.
JPs Semi Final try. Incredible moment and a belting atmosphere.
I'll also throw in there the moment we went for the 2 points Vs Huddersfield. I really didnt agree with it, everyone around me was saying it was the right thing to do but I couldn't agree. We needed the win, not to scrape through and it was the wrong mentality. Hudds would have thought "Look, they can't even back themselves for a try to win a trophy and £100K". As it turns out if all panned out a bit alright! All adds to the memories.

| The away game at Saints (full match on youtube) was a great performance.
Sinfield started on the bench and we beat the champions at their place with 6 players who didn't even play in the Grand Final.

Edited for accuracy and I think Keinhorst deserves great praise for staying calm and executing the pass to a colleague in a better position when white line fever could have overwhelmed him.
Left in the great thread line as it is.

Yep, all involved in the try were superb in execution but i think Moon's one handed take, pull in and pass pretty much in all one movement which took 3 scrambling Wigan defenders out of the play to allow the space for Keinhorst to put Walters in, was a piece of absolute class that deserves recognition.

I'll up that with the pick up from around his ankles in the saints semi prior to his putting Hall in. An exceptional piece of skill for the seventh minute of a game, let alone the seventieth-odd of a bruising and attritional encounter.

Absolutely. Been a bit of an unsung hero this year has Moon, but been a great signing for our club.

| As I don't get to many live games each season some of my top memories will be a little random.
Halls try vs hudds. Shouted so lid w that the cat jumped about a foot in the air.
Walters try
Wembley always a great day, better when we win
Early season watched home game against widnes and though it was close for 60m, the way we cut loose last 20 set a benchmark for the season for me
The win at saints
Peacocks try in the semi what a sidestep
Moons dummy to score in the semi
Despair (post Cas defeat) to elation a week later, seemed to add even more belief into the team

| For me it was more about the emergence / re-emergence of some great players
McGuire - Proved me wrong - Thought he was way passed his best
Cuthbertson - Wow
Handley and Golding - Up and coming talent in the making
Tom Briscoe - Continues to grow in stature
Peacock -
Finally
Brian McD - Got the best out of his team and never got carried away with post match interviews - I did love the semi-final interview thoguh
