I spoke with McDermott the other night, and he said McGuire and Burrow could have played at Wigan last week if he felt it was needed, so don't think he is risking them.

Did think we wouldn't pull out the under 19's with their play off game also.

If Danny and Robbie could of played last week they should have . Far more important than this week .

Along with JP and Sinfield.

Players we cannot do without if we are to win the GF this year and who imo could have benefited from a week off but hey ho,just hopefully the team get through unscathed, game means nowt.

Josh Charnley won't be playing this week due to a broken heart.

Brian Mac will get an ear bashing from our hindsight posters if we get any major injuries this weekend in this dead rubber game as he has named such a strong squad prior to the play offs

Just as he did for resting key players prior to our CC semi final and final and whilst we dropped SL points against the Bulls and London

Yep. And would've received criticism had he rested several players for not putting our best team out to try and build some momentum.

The last game of the season is not a time to rest anyone. The only players who should be "rested" are those who might need a week to get over an injury.

I'd hope the attitude amongst the team is that the playoffs start now. Start as we mean to go on.

Perhaps he was fearful of another slating from the "we paid our hard earned money for this" crowd, so felt the need to play his strongest available squad.

Or more logically he might feel that their is a few issues the team need to work on before the playoffs start and he can't do that if half his starters are sat in the stands.

Although I would still look to rest JP and possibly Aiton or Sinfield.

Still the possibility that could happen, if McGuire and Burrow are fit then Sutcliffe goes back to the back row possibly resting someone like Delaney.

I can see the logic of playing his best team. Our form is poor and the team has been chopped and changed a lot over the last few months.

It's important IMO to get the team together and playing well in preparations for the playoffs.

Of course, pick up an injury to JP and we're fooked but that is the same any week.

Mcdermott has not been shy in resting players over the season. It looks like we will try to build some momentum and get some consistency.

Despite the situation re league position the time for resting players has been and gone. It's now time to try regain some form and look to build into the play offs.

I would be playing a weakened side tomorrow - it will be tough there Hull will want to inflict some damage - it is their last game so they don't need to worry so much about injuries

Pick your best team, we have to get back on track and can't leave it until the first week of the playoffs. If we had won a few league games coming up to this then you might have rested a lot without issue but now is the time to get all thoughts of the cup out of the players minds and get a league win. You can't do that if everyone is in the stand watching the second team play in Hull.

Once I told McD I wasn't available he had to select the full team to make up for my absence anyway.

As Leeds will finish 6th regardless of tomorrow night's result I'd have taken the same approach this coach took the week before the Challenge Cup Final and perhaps then some by also leaving out Hardaker, Watkins and Hall.

Only one Leeds coach thus far has managed to lose five consecutive Regular Round fixtures.

Players had rests prior to CC final and have played 2 games since that match. There should be no problem playing unless carrying a knock, otherwise play best available team IMO

Not sure of the exact number although I think I could name the previous four plus McDermott.

Warrington at least had something to play for but managed to pick up more injuries and a likely suspension - Leeds have nothing to play for and will be hoping the same fate doesn't await them.

More to the point - only one Leeds coach has managed to win two Championships, one World Club Championship and One Cup final. A stat that must have been hard for you to record and obviously even harder to acknowledge. Just in case you have chosen not to record this historic achievement I will give you a clue ...his name starts with Brian and ends with McDermott

No stat has been any harder or any easier for me to record than any other since 1979.

It only gets difficult when trying to backfill the information from before the date I started to keep my own records as Leeds isn't well served in that department. It infuriates me when Wigan and Warrington players (last night) are both able to wear their unique player number and the Leeds players cannot do likewise.
