We can only sign one overseas player this season so we should we be setterling . I would rather wait to see if someone of real quality becomes available.

Kylie has an incredible work ethic, he looked after himself and was the toughest competitor. From the admittedly little I’ve seen of this guy, he doesn’t possess those basic fundamental building blocks.

He's the forward version of Lolohea, junior grade super star, loads of natural talent, poor work ethic, full of errors. Also not the type of prop we need, skillful but dosnt roll his sleaves up and get the hard meters, bit undrsized aswel...Listed at 110 kg but if he lost the fat he needs to lose he'd be lucky to top 100kg. Im usually optimistic with NRL signings but struggling with this one.

On the plus side, iv been wrong many times before so hopefully this will be another if we sign him.

Never heard of Ava either and he looks good so far. Its not so much about me having never heard of him (I dont watch much of nrl),but his stats dont seem that impressive for someone who needs to come in and make a big impact.

Completely agree.im not saying that we have to buy a current aussie international but he just seems a big gamble to me.anyone on a par with Ava would be a good signing for me.

There won’t be a marquee space available,I reckon Prior took that over when Merrin left at the same time,and with the money he was on at Cronulla wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a direct replacement (marquee replacement)

Hasn't agar said specifically that a marquee position ways available? I appreciate that clubs aren't always honest with the fans but i didn't think they'd tell a blatant lie like that when there isn't really any need.

It all depends on the clubs way of looking at it.

Marquee player rules state that a club trained player over 75k can be given the dispensation or another player who is on 150k. We could bring an Aussie over on 180k but have a club trained player on 130k, it’ll be more proportionate to give it to the club trained player.

Looking at it that way, we could have more than 150k left on the salary, as we haven’t really brought anyone in with a big salary after Merrin left (club stated Prior was coming to play in the team with Merrin). So they could have allocated that marquee player elsewhere to create more space.
