The article on the BBC has updated to say it is believed the incident happened a few weeks ago. I think that rules out giving team news to Leeds players.

Well the attack on the student when he was at Leeds happened 3/4 days before the season opener but didn't come out until 5/6 games into the season when he missed Warrington away.

The complaint was made before today. As per normal in these circumstances, there has been an initial investigation which has concluded Hardaker has a case to answer. Given this, he is now suspended until the club conclude a formal investigation.

It'd be a risk. If the alternative is Keinhorst on the bench and he'll be lucky to get 20 mins then suppose we could try get that or more out of Ward.

Even if he doesn't make it this week it sounds like he still has a shot at the WC then which he deserves.

Wardys future playing career comes first and foremost, as I'm sure the coaching staff appreciate. If they have any doubt, then he won't step on the paddock. A player of his ilk and mindset plays and hits well well above his weight and physical stature. Hope he makes a complete recovery and features internationally.

If he misses outs then even more so now I hope he becomes captain and gets to lead us into a future GF and lift the trophy, would be a very special moment after what he's been through.

One of the moments that stuck in my head from the 2015 post match celebrations was Ward on crutches stood with Walters holding the trophy in front of the Leeds fans knowing had Ward not been injured Walters wouldn't have even played that night.

I think it will take a massive effort to overturn the form book between the 2 sides this season, but I wouldn't bet against Leeds in a final
