I'm happy to highlight why when talking about player performances I form opinions based on what I see rather than what some 3rd party tells me. In addition to his metres and his average per carry Achurch according to Opta also made 34 tackles, 4 tackle busts and 2 clean breaks on Saturday - yet you'll be hard pressed to find any sorrow on here that he'll be history after this season.
Yes Craig I understand where some of those Achurch metres were made just as I am aware when Garbutt made many cheap metres at salford this season (on a rare occasion when Leeds attempted to build some pressure) through goal-line drop-out kick returns just as Peacock often did in years gone by. Unfortunately those all still end up in the totals just as the hard graft ones up the middle do, just as Golding racked up 17 tackles recently by placing hands on as 3rd man in practically complete tackles yet they show the same value as a Hardaker one and one miracle try saver over the line - not that theres been many of them this year but you take the point.

You don't like stats that don't help your view???
And I formed my opinion that Singleton was playing poorly by watching his performances, the stats happen to back that up convincingly. That you of all people don't like using them on certain occasions is amusing.

| If people are using the 'eye test' on Singleton and not seeing how poor he's been then they might want to make a trip to their opticians.
He'd be getting slated if he was a new signing and not from the academy.

Yep your posts are spent valuably just pointing out the bleeding obvious that Achurch is sh*t.

| And yet Achurch's Opta stats from Saturday were arguably as good or better than any other Leeds forward. If that's a reasonable conclusion to draw then the case for their exclusion from debate is made.
I pay little attention to Opta's stats as evidence of anything and use them even less - only one poster consistently puts any store in them and he's an even bigger bore than either of us.

| Call bull if you like on this but from what I've heard from a cas director........
Burrows has been offered a contract by Cas, as he wants to leave due to his relationship with Brian Mac. It's also true what's been said on the other post about gale refusing to sign because of Roberts wage and us being in for him.

I have asked several people who's opinions i respect and they all reckon that Gale will be a Rhino next season
Regarding the Rob Burrow link to joining Cas they reckon that it all depends on who is head coach at the Rhinos in 2017
I don't want to see Gale'y go as IMO he is the best HB in SL but i can't see him not rejoining his boyhood club unfortunately for 2017

| If Brian Mac was such an issue and upsetting all the big names in the squad i find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be the man being moved on as opposed to half a dozen of the team, especially considering the dire position we are currently in.

From what I here he has a lot of passion for cas but sees Leeds as an oppurtunity he can't miss.
On your comment Biff, that depends on who you consider a 'big name' these days, at a tender age burrows certainly isn't the asset he once was, all be it he can still do a certain job, but he certainly isn't 'needed'

If Mac is still in charge of the Rhinos next season then several players with contract options on the table wont be there if these clubs interested carry out their interest to the next level and actually back up their offers to the club with a deal that suits all parties
On another note,I forgot to mention that the Rhinos want Gale irrespective of who is head coach for 2017

| I would still consider Burrow a big name, i know he is getting on but the way Burrow plays you could see him going on for another 2-3 good years yet and we all know what he can produce in big games, he does it time and again.
That said, if we could get Gale coming the other way it is not something i would necessarily against happening.

I'd love to see gale at Leeds but would be very disappointed to see Burrow go the other way. Appreciate powers may be on the wane but he's a special player and still has plenty to offer from bench Imo. Guys who can win you grand finals don't come along very often and you should keep as long as you can for my money.

| What I also didn't chip in with my post (mainly because I'd see it as bizarre given our current position) is that his ommitance last week wasn't down to injury and was more down to their relationship, but as stated I'd find that extreme.
I agree with you both he can do a job BUT he's not irreplaceable and putting two and two together he could well be one of the two mentioned in this thread that asked to leave but we're trying to convince to stay, if that is the case though, I'd be intrigued to see who is going if gale, because I don't imagine us having McGuire, lilley, sutcliffe, gale and burrow (even if seen as hooker) position switch for sutcliffe? Or lilley out on loan until McGuire retires? If nobody were to leave

| Furthermore, what I also find shocking is that it's alledged we won't be offering Moon a new contract, which would be a MASSIVE loss for us as I see it.

| If Gale does come Cas can take their pick of Burrow, McGuire and Sutcliffe. Simply not good enough.
Saying that if we get relegated would Gale want to come to Leeds I think not.
It is now a real possibility we could go down.
