Manu is a player i'd love to sign apasrt from Goal kicking Tickle is nothing special and Westerman is just the perfect example of a p!$$ head d1psh#t who believes his over-hyped press!
I'm also glad you mentioned Sinfield because he's far too good to step down to a club like Hull maybe when he's 38 and wants to retire on a 3yr deal.

| The only Hull players that i would put in our side are:
1:Yeaman
2:Briscoe
3:Manu
I would have liked us to have signed a 19 year old Westerman though, that is before he started to take his RL career for granted.
I honestly believed that his downward spiral whilst he was at Cas would change once he moved to Hull, but he apparently still likes the drink too much

| Westerman is Paul Cooke MKII.
Manu is quality and I'd take him at Leeds. So too is Briscoe.

| As someone who hasn't missed an FC game this season, I have to say that Westerman has gradually got better as time has gone on. He's a real talent with ball in hand and on Friday night he was one of the few FC players to actually get stuck in. His biggest problem is that the coah he's playing for is clueless and will never get the best out of him as long as I have a hole in my behind.
On a lighter note, I was speaking to a Rhino on Friday night who is less than impressed with your coach. I said he could gladly take Agar if he wanted but unsurprisingly the answer was: "No, you're alright mate".

| Hull appeared to play a lot through Westerman on the right on Friday. I can't help wondering if Leeds are being suckered into thinking it'll be more of the same next weekend in the cup.
Obviously the major threat appears to lie on the opposite flank in Manu, Yeaman and Briscoe.

Given the overwhelming evidence of results between Leeds and the Hull FC Whipping Boys... overwhelmingly one-sided results stats which you produced not so long ago... I'm surprised you're worried about the Cup game against them.
I'm not. They don't turn up against Leeds.
Easy! Nailed on Semi Final.

| I don't think Leeds can win the CC but I do think they could make an appearance at Wembley again.
They'll probably need the lucky draw of Cas/Hudds in the Semi Final though, and the way Hudds are currently running out of steam, there's a golden opportunity right there.
I've already secured my Wembley ticket (One Club Supporters need not apply just yet).

| Leeds V Huddersfield semi. They could play it at Odsal. Sounds like a walk in the park - if only Tony Smith and Scott Donald were still around.

Peacock is not far off the form he showed in that game either.
PS, shouldn't you be working on a stats spreadsheet right now. I'm awaiting your confirmation of Kirke's monster effort this week. I know TVOC wannabe has given his twopenneth but I rarely take anything he types as being the truth.

Good to see the incumbent England captain demonstrating his handling prowess and discipline in the white hot furnace of a Leeds-Hull FC game.
Whets the appetite just nicely for the 4 Nations.

I liked the vigour of his response later in the game mind. A prop forward with some fire in his belly, even mis-directed, is not something to be sniffed at amongst this soft cock collection of forwards.

Until tvoc trots out the stats I don't have the numbers to back it up, but I would suggest some of the credit for Peacock's second half vigour goes to the fact he spent a large chunk of the first half sat on his backside in the dugout.
Hopefully the one year contract extension recently signed will have been weighted to reflect the fact that his minutes per game should be decreasing in order to preserve the quality they generate.
The days of Peacock playing 65-70 minutes per game should hopefully be behind him.

I am (or at least were before allowing this distraction) and can confirm Opta have found 4 amazing drives from the big fella at an impressive 8 metres per carry, 21 tackles and no misses.
Appears my 'go Ian' from here viewtopic.php?f=17&t=501113 was somewhat justified.

I share the sentiment of "Go Ian" but I phrased it "F**k off, Ian".

And that's probably why you're not going any further in the cup again this year ....
Joe Westerman, a quarter of a million (if Ray French is to be believed) and his Harry Potter-esque cloak of invisibility. If he'd not popped up to score, you'd be hard pressed to know he was even playing ...
Please keep the dynamic back row players you mention, we'd like to extend our one-defeat-in-ten record against you !

I think he meant Harlequins, but then he did refer to us as Hull on a few occasions.

Just several of the senile old fool's ramblings :
- Putting Halifax out in the last round
- £250K for Westerman
- Alan Agar instead of Richard Agar (AA is RA's dad)
- Words to the effect of "Leeds kicking off with that traditional deep kick off ... And Hull in their traditional black & white kit"
- Former East Hull Junior
- Former Leeds Acadamey Player
- Brett Deleany as 'this fifteen stone ...'
And at least one "Oh, but no ..."
