He didn't, although, his poor clearance led to the free kick.

| and it's his fault something happened over a minute after the kick? really???
how about james f##king up a simple cross for a piroe tap in?
nobody challenging for the header that led to the goal or the scorer being totally free in the box?
I'm not a huge meslier fan, I said I've have signed the Rotherham keeper who went to stoke. but this whole let's blame him for anything is ridiculous and boring

| Same players get blamed every week when we don’t win, it’s always Meslier, Aaronson, Bamford or Piroes fault.
He does miss some saveable ones but harsh to give Meslier stick for the Millwall game

| Like I said I didn`t see the Millwall game so cannot comment on his performance.
Overall though I do not think he is good enough and we should have got someone better and that someone isn`t Darlow.
But we are stuck with him this season.
Read an article on Sunday that says Aaronson lost 14 of his 19 duels on Saturday and is the most dispossessed player in the Championship attributing it to his lack of physicality.
Personally thought he had a decent game.
Piroe does get some stick but overall I don`t think he is as bad as what people think and his scoring ratio is right up there.

| Quote ="tad rhino"ramazani?'"
Think Ramazani is right footed Tad. He’s another one of these fashionable ‘inverted’ wingers. That means we have James, Gnonto, Ramazani and Solomon all right footers playing out wide, with three of them playing mostly on their “wrong” side. Like I said, I think it’s poor recruitment and kills momentum and the shape of the team with players constantly checking back to try and work the ball onto their stronger foot when they should be getting outside of defences and crossing the ball. Yes we want quality players like Ramazani, and we want strength in depth, but to not have a genuine left footed wide player is negligent and pretty strange at this level. I don’t know if it’s Farke’s preference to play with inverted wingers, or the players telling Farke where they prefer to play, but I think it kills us at times. The likes of Saka at Arsenal prefer to play that way, and he had a pet lip on when he was asked to fill in wide left for England in the World Cup. He then went on to play as an inverted right winger in the final and got marked out of the game by a player that couldn’t even get a game with his Premiership team. There’s a lesson right there.

Yeah he;s doing ok is Aaronson, he's scored nearly as many as Rutter did all last season already so gives us more in that regard. I think he's got better physically but he'll never be great in that regard, it's his weakness no doubt.
Piroe i think comes into his own when defences are tiring a bit due to his lack of mobility, but he's always been a player who drifts in and out of games, but hes a really good goal scorer. Just a shame he doesn't have the legs. That 9 position for Leeds still hasn't quite been sorted, we need the attributes of Joseph, Bamford and Piroe combined into one but that will have to wait until we get back to the Prem

Big wages Tad. To be fair to him, he gave us some good times under Bielsa, he was brilliant for a couple of years.. deserves a fair send off from fans.

Barn Door is now taking the p155 and he clearly wants out....But only on a freebie ,rather than a transfer fee having to be made to secure his services.

Think you’re wrong Tad. Just looked at the Fulham F.C profile and a few other football stat sites and they qualify him as a right footer that plays on the left wing. The Spurs profile classes him as an inverted left winger, i.e right footed. There’s no doubt he can use his left peg but just watch him the next time he gets the ball, always coming inside to get it on his right foot. That’s why he’s not getting down the outside of defenders. He did it once for the Joseph goal but you’ll be lucky to see him do that on more than a couple of occasions this season. The other problem is his lack of pace. If you’re Mo Salah you can prosper in the inverted winger role because you have the pace to run in behind or past defenders, Solomon doesn’t have that pace. In short, Solomon is a centre forwards nightmare, constantly checking back inside instead of looking to get to the byline.

Summerville was a better version of an inverted winger but the wheels came off for him when teams sussed him out and he failed badly in the final part of the season. Summerville was part of an impotent forward line that couldn’t trouble teams in the important run in and 4 points from the last 18 killed us last season. He ran down so many blind alleys that last 7 or 8 games he didn’t look the same player that won Championship Player of The Year.

Yeah easy to view Summerville and Rutter with rose tinted glasses but both fell to bits when it really counted at the back end of the season..

From what i've seen of Solomon so far is that he struggles to move the ball quickly too, he tends to slow it down too much. Some of that is just the way he's been coached before and he should get better. BUT, he needs to improve fast otherwise i'd send him back in Jan and get an upgrade in there

I think a lot of that was down to how teams defended against Summerville in particular.
Rutter on the other hand tried to do too much and frequently took the wrong option.
When it worked it looked good but that was rare.
I agree on Solomon who has the ability but doesn`t have the pace.
I would be giving him an ultimatum that he needs to shift up a gear or he goes back to Spurs and as long as we have a better replacement.

I’m glad you’re optimistic Chapy. We’ve struggled to get a win in away games recently, only 3 points from the last 12 and only 3 goals in those 4 games. Got to say, at Bristol and Millwall we looked pretty toothless. Gnonto has looked a little lost to me without Ramazani and started making some bad decisions, that certainly hasn’t helped. We really need someone up top to have a real purple patch and take most of the chances that they get. Swansea and Blackburn will be tough games. I’m hoping if the results aren’t what we’d like leading up to Xmas the club will seriously go after another centre forward. We’ve also got to start getting some early, quality ball into the box for whoever is up top. We’re well in the mix, and after such a turbulent pre season I’d certainly have taken where we are at the moment. We just need that little extra going forward for me.
