Don’t watch a lot of academy games now but cannot believe we don’t have a young winger with some pace somewhere that can be played. Move Newman and hurrell around prospect winger. For me sutcliffe should only be used on the bench at most as he does have utility value.

We to find the next Ryan Hall asap

I remember saying we should have gone for Lineham when he was available but got scoffed at on here.
He might not be brilliant but would form a pretty good combination with Hurrell on the left.
Briscoe was finished before his injury so don`t expect much from him when he is fit to play.
Charnley might find he is pushed out once Widdop comes back and they move Ashton to the wing.

I see Hall coming back for a year or 2 with us to replace T.Briscoe at end of this season and Hall with be a stop gap til we find our next long term winger either in Academy or signing someone. This one might be a long shot but I could see Watkins returning to us if he isn't on bad terms with the club to replace Hurrell when his contract expires in 2021 as I feel Hurrell will want to head back to NRL and probably see out his Career there.

Hall and Watkins might return to Super League but don't think a return to the Rhinos would be good for players or club.
Neither would live up to past days.

We don't need 33/34 year old wingers

To be fair I wouldn’t want Hall or Watkins back. They aren’t the players they once were and their Leeds run is over. I would prefer one of the Morris twins if we were going for aging wingers. Once Hurrell gets the Combos going I think we shall see a better side of him that played for Tonga, he was a beast playing for them. His confidence gets knocked to easily by the mistakes he makes. He should certainly not be used off the bench or second row, that will be a complete waste, he needs to show pretty sharpish that he is worthy or Marquee status, personally I think he will.

Watkins is only 28 if he can show he can get back to international standard this year after recovering properly from his ACL he could still be one of best centres around for 4 or 5 years still. Hall would just be a stop gap if he came back until we can find a long term replacement, Tom Johnstone for T.Briscoe for next year would be ideal for me personally but depends of Johnstone would want to come and can be stay fit himself after his injuries.

Tom Johnstone at Wakefield is one of their highest paid players. Could we actually fit him into our pay structure. We should have signed him before he signed his last contract with Wakefield, he is now on more money.

Doesn't play anything like enough minutes, sometimes only 13 per game (but I suppose he might have got injured), and doesn't have anything like the impact we are in need of.

Desperation signing that would (likely) cost more than he's worth and would tie up another NFT spot and maybe O/S depending on passport etc.
