Didn't pull up many trees yesterday the big fella but most amusing to see Saints choke once again. Buderus was simply sublime. Cam Smith is the finest 9 around by plenty - despite the BBC James Roby fan club. However I don't think I've ever seen a better hooker than Buderus. At all.

on another note smith showed he is primarily a winger yesterday. his best showing since he came back for me. looked far more comfortable than at full back

Roby was effective apart from where it mattered, in the final 20. A couple of his play options with the dummy half pass were appalling not to mention his kick plays. Buderus on the other hand controlled the ruck superbly when he was on the field and his continual targeting of the split markers and blowing forwards was the real difference as was Seniors hit up's closer to the middle.

For all the bagging Bluey has received this season, I thought his coaching in the second half yesterday and targeting elements of Saints play was exceptional.

his kicking was poor but so was ours in the final third.

Lost the plot with eastwood yesterday after that pass in the first half, and then in the 2nd half when his fat ass lumbered to pick that loose ball from lomax, and then knocked it on, gifting them more field position. Dive on it FFS.
