At the minute I have The Nice...

Had three albums of The Nice, probably still have them in the garage.

Of course the classic prog rock band has to be the one that followed int he footsteps of The Nice - Emerson Lake & Palmer, just stay away from their later stuff, try "Pictures at an Exhibition"

You might also want to look at Yes and the early years of Pink Floyd.

Those three bands were the limit of my interest but I understand that our Webmeister is a big fan of early 70's prog rock with particular interest in Hawkwind.
