| Looks alright, there's been worse. Isn't the blue a colour we've used in a training range before?
On a side note, have people seen the Wakey home shirt? I understand it's for their 150 year anniversary but not a kit you'd associate with them

| Blue home, blue away, there'll be another one along before we have to play someone else who wears blue. The Boxing Day kit too, could make it to 4 in record time.

| 11th kit in just over 2 years from Oxen.
As for this, its so bland and boring I haven't even got the energy to dislike it.
Wakefield have the best Leeds kit next year.

| Looks like it has a few zebra type stripes in a turquoise mish mash. Beautiful.
Are we stealing ideas from fun time Deggsy?

Wakefield are in blue, possibly Wire as well. A 3rd kit is definitely going to happen.

I appreciate there's a commercial angle and that the figures clearly show that certain colours sell better than others. In a sport with little money those things are important, however when the stats show blue is a popular colour and then everyone ends up playing in blue there's clearly an issue. There are only 12 teams in SL - if you can't design two shirts that are different enough to avoid a clash in every fixture something's gone wrong somewhere. No reason a Super League team should ever need three shirts. Oxen obviously have a reputation for churning out shirts for fun. I thought it bizarre we'd launch an entire training range for a one-off friendly against NZ but the 'coaches range' really made me laugh. Each to their own but I think the desperate need to get their logo on every player, coach, umpire etc might well be raising the awareness of the brand name but it's hardly positioning them as a high end quality manufacturer. For me all that does is highlight how cheap the manufacturing process must be (pop a blank shirt in, hit print).

We have had 12 kits since Oxen took over just over 2 years ago
They're definitely are going for the quantity over quality business model.
I think 3 per year is probably OK, home, away and special charity kit for Magic.
There is absolutely no need for any club to have a 3rd kit.
As people probably know I'm not a massive fan of Oxen I think we as a club should be aiming higher, but it's obviously commercially the best way to go otherwise they wouldn't be doing it - I think outsourcing everything to Oxen including the retail aspect must be appealing to the club.
Out of all the manufacturers in SL personally I like the stuff Hummel produce, it seems of a higher class to me and they don't seem to have the endless releases and sales that we have.
Id really like to see Castore and Umbro get into the RL market they both produce some great stuff for other sports, the Umbro football stuff looks great to me.
What I will say is that because of the amount of sponsors we seem to have any shirt will look a bit of a mess unless the are implemented properly onto the shirt
For example hull and Wakefield have managed it well this season

Great post.
My feelings exactly.
I just dont get on with Oxens lacklustre quality spikes and daft sizing.

| Don't know anything about Ellgren's quality but they've nailed both Wakefields kits this season, although id say the Away shirt should be the home shirt.

The association is it`s more or less the first kit we ever had back in 1873, although I`m sure it was black and blue instead of dark blue and blue. I like it, it`s something different but a lot of people are saying it could quite easily be a Leeds kit!

Totally agree. They are both great kits. Well done Wakey. Leeds take note.

Cas's away effort. Bizarrely there's a debate over on their board - evenly split I might add - over whether it's blue or black..

Unsurprising really, there's a yearly debate of is it orange or amber? So this fits right in comfortably with that convo.

| The new Home kit has really grown on me and although I take on board comments about the new Away kit being blue. However it is more a dominant turquoise with a close random pattern and being totally the same colour shirt and shorts, it does not really clash with the other 11 home kits. I do think some more radical could have been found but I guess that would again receive criticism so it’s always going to be difficult pleasing fans.
As for Hummel kits of Hull and Wigan they do look smart and Hummel have produced good quality gear for many years. However I read that Elite Sports are the official distributor for Hummel and they have just gone into Administration causing issues certainly for Wigan especially with Christmas close by. At least Leeds have no problems supplying kit for Christmas presents.

Exactly this... and how they can expect us to part with potentially £80 for this disgusting imposter of a Leeds shirt is beyond me.
I shall not be investing in one.
