I think that was always going to be the case even if it was only a light hamstring injury, we've only got 3 weeks left of the regular season, he could possibly still be in contention for England though maybe?

Interesting comments from Smith about Holroyd working hard on his athletic performance (or words to that effect) whilst banned. Is this the third long term injury he has had now? They're starting to stack up a little bit!

It wouldnt be a Leeds Rhinos season if Tom Holroyd didnt pick up a long term injury or two, unbelievable.

Assuming it’s a contact injury for Holroyd it’s more bad luck than anything else.

Not just this season either Seth….hasn’t strung any long run of games together since breaking into the first team…he also had injury problems when he was in the academy didn’t he?
I reckon he had (Maybe still does) the potential to be as good, if not better than Mik, but whereas Mik has proved his durability Tom certainly hasn’t…..yet and these never ending injury problems have to be a concern going forwards

I think the time will come and soon when the club make a decision on Holroyds future. If he cannot stay fit next season to manage at least two thirds of the games then maybe the time has come to cut him from the roster. I know lots will disagree but the fact is that for the past three or four seasons he has hardly played a game and in a salary cap sport that is not good.

He is under contract until end of 2025, so that’s not really an option. We need to persevere and hope his luck changes.
However, I agree with your concern and think it’s always a worrying sign when a player picks up serious injuries in training on a fairly regular basis.

Sutcliffe is under contract but he is joining Hull so movements are possible.

Meh! They said the same about JJB but he managed quite a few games in the end.
