I notice sezer has wimped out of this one. As soon as I saw the interview this week I knew it was coming! Shame. Was looking forward to him getting some stick from his old team mates but can’t really say I’m surprised given the way he behaved at the end of his Huddersfield contract. He doesn’t like to play when the side isn’t doing well.
We have a bit of a dilemma ourselves in the halves, do we stick with cogger and fages, or play Russell with fages and tui at FB and kick you to death. Or give fages a rest and save him for Monday…be interesting to see how Watson will play this one.

The fullback in the line is standard practice in the NRL. It makes the line harder to break with passing alone from close in. The key is making defending kicks everyone's responsibility - everyone has to be alive to the possibility of a kick and make efforts to get to the ball when they come. If it was such a bad tactic we'd see oodles of tries from kicks in the NRL. We don't because teams know how to defend them.

Jesus.. lump on Hudds all day long if i was a betting man. They are in fine form.

Where have I been cocky? I haven’t said anything about expectations of a result against you. I’ve just talked about the players that may or may not be played!!!

Not really- just a bit of a dilemma in that pryce was banned at the time that cogger has come back from injury and he has played well, then fages came back just as Russell was injured- Russell had been playing his most mature rugby so far.
Now for the first time this season we have all three available so it will be a bit interesting to see which way Watson chooses to go, whether he goes for Russell and fages with more of a kicking game and tries to kick a win or cogger for a passing game and more likely to take the line on.

From watching the reserves game Mellor did absolutely nothing to justify a place in the 17 tonight.

Like others have said very strange odds, in effect it’s even money which given the relative form looks like a good bet on Hudds. I saw 4/1 on hudds with a negative 16 start. Given we are hardly scoring at all, even that looks generous.

Big week coming, I see Toulouse have HKR at home on Monday which gives Rovers a short turnaround after playing FC on Friday and then travel thrown in makes it a tricky trip.

We need to improve on both sides of the ball or we could be bottom going into the Toulouse game next Friday.

Be interesting how JJB tries to manage the forwards, not easy. I wonder if we will see a few odd looking “middle” selections?

I really hope that one of Tet or Oledzki starts on the bench.

these Easter games are always strange, often throwing up a few odd team selections and in the past Huddersfield haven't fared well over this Easter period. I get the impression Watson wont try to do anything too left field with his selections though, it doesn't seem to be his way. He does like to study the opposition deeply so any changes you do make might affect his game plan. Ikahihifo is out for us - apparently he suffered a fracture to his arm in the first half against Hull, then came on and played another period in the second half
