Our full academy team were isolating....

We didn't have 17 fit first team players and as our academy team couldn't play we were unable to fulfil the game.

but the official statement said among other things

the threshold for a covid19 postponement has not been met.

Yeh and we took a 24-0 loss???

Just like Huddersfield did also.

This is our first covid related call off this season which is pretty good going compared to other teams. Saints also have called it off this week so clearly something was going around down in London.

Agree. They could have legal cases on their hands if not careful. It could be a complete shambles

So in round 25 of the season it's a shoot out between Hull KR , Rhinos and Castleford for the final 2 places in the play offs
Warrington will probably rest plenty of their squad in order to freshen them up for the play offs IMO and Cas will win this one

So it's a home shoot out between Rhinos v Hull KR for the play off's final position

Saints, Hull FC, Catalans and Wolves could prove very convenient for them after all

I’m honestly not so sure they’ll rest players to be honest, they rested the majority of their front row against Salford, they’ve only just started getting Williams and Widdop together.

Catalans was rearranged and played, in fact we payed Catalan 3 times, Saints, Hull FC and Warrington all cancelled there games against us. Out of all the teams we were the one trying to get cancelled games played but none of the other sides were willing to play. Not sure what we could do about that.

Hull KR played Catalans 3 times the other matches you mention were cancelled by those clubs not Hull KR.

As I posted previously on this thread, some clubs have not been able to rearrange fixtures against the better sides and it is certainly proving beneficial to their league position by way of percentage points being the deciding factor



Perhaps Leeds were foolish to rearrange certain fixtures like Catalans away for example?
But I believe that morally the club did the correct thing by fulfilling as many games as was possible.

Don’t pretend we have a moral high ground here. We started this shambles off by refusing to travel to Catalans last year because a player coughed, who actually didn’t even have COVID!

I actually think that the games against Catalan were a catalyst for us. We may have ended up losing both games, but a busted up team went toe to toe with them before running out of steam. I think we took a lot of belief out of that week

Games needed to be rearranged in the order they were scheduled so it was by definition difficult to pick and choose what got played.
Leeds fans pretending to be outraged about this stuff is laughable really.

Wasn't that week before complete lockdown? I'm pretty comfortable the actions of the club have been totally vindicated. They actually showed some leadership in a sport that often lacks it.

Absolutely correct they were postponed by Saints

Anyhow, you look at that top 6 and most would likely agree that it's the best six that got in. Cas could maybe argue they were unlucky but fielding weakened teams through choice (luxury) and giving away the 24 0 walkover is what put them where they ended up.
Should be a good playoff series.
