Couple by John Atkinson - cup semi at Central park, 77 and the next year qf against Bradford. Only ever seen live, the semi was definitely televised but I've never seen the footage. Rob 2011 is up there, so too is the one he set up for hall in the same game

There was a team try in 2015 at Wigan that the video ref chalked off. That was pretty special, probably not on YouTube though

Probabaly not the best but a noteworthy try was Wayne McDonald's away at Saints where he ran what felt like 312m while breaking 27 different tackles very late in the game. The away end at Knowsley Road errupted.

Honourable mention to Jamie Thakrays wonder try too. One where he deftly kicks and chases x2

One of my favourite non Leeds tries was Henderson Gill for GB against the Aussies in the final test of the 1988 Ashes series. I remember myself and my Dad jumping round the living room as he did his boogie.

Some would say that Hanley try was poor defence , but i once heard a John Joyner speech about how Darryl van de velde first arrived at Cas he fought Ellery was over rated and was made to look good by poor English defence only fir Joyner to stand up and say “ but you have never tried to tackle him, trouble with Ellery is, he is always 2 foot further away than you think he is”

That was the thing with Hanley, he was so strong and a very fit athlete. Could pull a try out of his ar*e. The best British player I’ve seen in my lifetime.

Any one of the two Billy Boston scored at Headingley in the cup game 1957. Two 75 yarders and the Yorkshire Football Green? referred to him as Wigans sepia streak, not sure that would be allowed in todays political correct world.

I told you before I remember when Billy Boston scored the. Two great tries ,but at the same time I cant remember anything to describe them . Legend has it that Headingleys greatest ever try was by Dinny Campbell pre WWI apparently he beat the entire Wigan team .
