The point still stands, we were overflowing with young players over around a ten plus year period and we had to let a lot of players go. A large section of the players we released ended up playing in Super league for majority of their careers. Arguing over the quality of those players or how their careers panned out is the missing the point. I’s struggle to name any players we have released in the past 5 years who are playing in the championship never mind SL.

Heard Levi could be the new Ellery, start at centre then move to 13. High praise high expectations.

Ellery was actually a bit of a late developer, did not really kick on until early 20’s not like Schoey, crooks, Morley etc international and player at 18-19.

Patience needed though, hope people don’t expect either player to be first team regulars in next 2-3 seasons. Would be nice if they were though.

Hes talented but lets not go overboard here. Let the kid develop at his own pace.

perhaps they need to amend to average though included mathers who would have remained our 1st but for going to aus and knee injury . might as well as have included calders and walker going to union
