Unfortunately you can't just sack players, we've got a few at Hull that would have been gone if you could.
The person who needs to go from Leeds will never be sacked.

Of course he means Hetherington, and he is right. There is no doubt what Hetherington contributed to for us, but like the players that did it, he also has a shelf life, and has done his time. More and more mistakes over last few years, and seems out of touch with what the game needs as a future, where previously he was leading the way.

Yes but the appointment of Sinfield was in recognition of this surely?
Whichever league we end up playing in next year (!) we have the best stadium in RL in the country. GH does have positive qualities, I just think he's made a series of poor decisions relating to playing side (individual player selection, being too slow to compete for the better young talent in the Academy / respond to improvements made by other clubs, resistance to Reserve side).
Sinfield needs time, everyone needs to realise this. The mistakes made under HG and BM in terms of recruitment over years cannot be unpicked in 6 months. Players are under contract and the salary cap means we don't have much room to sidestep those contracts. Sinfield cannot magic performances out of thin air; and in my view the current squad just isn't capable of doing much better, they're already trying. I'd expect some improvement over this year due to better cohesiveness but that's about it.
I'm not sure that re-assembling the old successful playing squad in Leeds' administration team is necessarily the right way to go, but I do believe Sinfield is intelligent and understands what is needed.
The changes in roles have already happened pretty much; we're not going to see huge changes in first team form until the players change though. If Sinfield gets recruitment wrong for 2020 as he does get cap available to spend then I'll be critical of him, but we simply don't know what's going on behind the scenes and should give him benefit of the doubt at least.

Everybody knew it would take time what is & should be unacceptable is Sinfields "standards" of recruitment thus far.
This squad by his own admission wasn't good enough so why add ordinary players to a squad already over flowing with that type & i make no apologises for saying his decision to give his 2 best mates new deals were shocking calls.
The blueprint we used for our success has been ignored too long & whilst it will take time to transition properly the current policy could set us back 3/4yrs.
We always needed quality balanced with good pros with a clear pathway for our best Acadamy prospects to step up that blueprint is nowhere near to completion under this current route.

The post makes some sense but there is no getting away from the fact that other SL teams this year have average teams and many individuals not up to NRL or international standard (albeit historic) ergo Leeds should not be bottom and losing to teams like London at home, yes maybe away and similarly to Wakey - Not saying they are poor but we have been in winning positions and then been unable to close out a ugly unpretty win.
This has to be down to poor coaching as well as poor playing
I sit in the Carnegie stand and the general murmur is that if Leeds get relegated in this one up one down season then the Championship will have one of the best but one of the emptiest grounds in the league - I would not pay best part of £400 a year to watch Leeds Vs Swinton or Rochdale

I have had a season ticket for 40 years now, through some very hard times. I will not buy a season ticket at todays prices for championship rugby, whether that gets me called glory or not. I have been teetering on whether to continue buying for last 3 years, so any relegation would definitely make my mind up.
That said, I can not see any possible scenrio whether we finish bottom or not, where the RFL, Super League, or the Super League clubs, will see Leeds not in next years Super League competition.

| Someone quoted that Agar lives next door to GH. LOL, surely a wide up. I cannot blame GH for everything that has happened in terms of signing players or giving out large contracts, surely he would have spoken first to the first team Coach and got a general consensus whether to sign the player or give a long term contract, one man would not make a decision, it may have happened years ago but surely not now. There is more than one person responsible for the mess we are in and that includes the 17 players on every match day. GH is going nowhere, biggest shareholder including Caddick, between them they own the club. GH has passed over some responsibility over to KS, but even he cannot take total responsibility for the signings or the long contracts, he would not have the authority being so inexperienced in the role he is doing. Joint decisions, joint ownership JL (sacked) ? goes to Ealing Trailfinders, who's next. Danny Maguire is back next season playing for Leeds has been offered a two year contract.

Not really. Let's be honest, the game is on it's @rse anyway. Can you honestly see it surviving without it's biggest club? That is not been arrogant that is just simple truth. It would be the same without Wigan too.

Rubbish, if Leeds are relegated we would be back in Super League in a year.
Remember Bradford were previously part of the “big 4” clubs, nothing was done to stop them been relegated and nothing will be done if Leeds or Wigan are bottom come the end of the season.

| Jimmy going Raises a few disturbing questions for me. Is it cost cutting? When he tells Danny ward all our secrets will our fate be sealed?
will sir richard be providing the first team with haribo?
And worse of all I can't get the image of Sir Richard having his pre match shave out of my head. Hoping he will keep us informed on twitter

The game can't cope with a year. The game was different when Bradford down, and yet it has still had a negative effect. Can't see any relegation.

| Whilst I don’t think it will come to this, nor do I expect it would actually happen, you can see a case for the club chairmen in SL to force changes through when faced with swapping the lucrative Leeds fixture for one with Toronto.

I think I have already stated that in my opinion above, the other Super League clubs. That was the purpose of them going seperate. It might only be my opinion, but IF Leeds finished bottom, which I don't think they will, then I think we will increase the numbers in Super League from next season.

Don't see it. If the reason for keeping Leeds up is financial then I don't see any enthusiasm for further diluting the TV loot.
FWIW I too doubt we'll finish bottom.
