| I'd go for Keinhorst. He was putting in the performances when few others were.
Special mentions to JJB, Galloway and Garbutt

Yes, those four would be the ones i would say have contributed to a decent level expected for the majority of the year.Obviously the addition of Segeyaro helped everyone. Lilley was a rare bonus too, and the experience he has gained through these tough times should prove invaluable. Hopefully he won't have as much on his shoulders next year though.
A season to forget though as a whole and the back slapping needs to be kept to a minimum.

| Galloway started slowly but really found his feet and had a good solid year for us, certainly as consistent as Garbutt if you consider the games Mitch missed early in the year.
For me though it has to be JJB, they stuff the guy has managed this year beggars belief coming off that injury, now he still good for a daft penalty or shoot out in defence, but he can take a great deal of pride from this year when not many others can.

Yep agree with that. I think Lilley has done very well for such a young half playing in a team that has struggled for most of the year. I don't think it's a coincidence/chance there aren't many young halves in SL. With the change in role for both loose forward and full back, the halves have become much more about control, leadership and kicking than they were previously, and that only comes with experience.

| Lilley Shooting Star award and Keinhorst also won try of the season for his effort away at Saints.
As for the club's top 3, which is always a bit iffy as they managed to overlook both our MOS nominees last year in Cuthbertson and Hardaker.....well they've pretty much just picked the three guys who have played most with the exception of Watkins who probably got left out because he won last year.
Might as well write it now before it inevitably gets written by someone else......"Keinhorst winning our fans player of the year just shows how far this club has fallen, blah, blah, blah"

| At least Frosties referred to her as the ClubPERSON of the year, rather than the Leeds Twitter feed which pronounced her the ClubMAN of the year.

the suffix [iman [/i is gender neutral, as the word man originally was.
Clubman, like chairman, and actor is perfectly acceptable to refer to males or females.

| Not according to some women.
Burrow is a joke as player of the year. He's a dreadful halfback and a poor starting hooker. As for try assists, I'd expect the only experienced playmaker to have been in the majority of games to do that. Would you expect the tyro Lilley or the non-appearing McGuire to have set up more? Given that the onus has been mainly on Burrow's shoulders, our awful attacking play might just be something to do with his lack of ability.

| Haha! That is funny. Does it just go to whoever hasn't had it for a bit but has been there a long time..? Get your money down on JJB, Ablett or Maguire for next year now in that case..!

I don't think Burrow has been poor, there was a period early in the season where he carried us through a few games, without him we might have not won a game until about round 20. His kicking game is also very underrated, as a result of playing so long with Sinfield who was always going to be the dominant kicker as he had one of the best kicking games in the world.
I think he could do a job at halfback if he was paired with an organising 6. It is a shame though that he was moved to 9 imo as it has meant that he hasn't added other parts to his game as his pace diminished, but why would he when he expected to play out of DH. I still have no real idea why Sinfield was moved to 6 by Mac tbh.
Perhaps Burrow got it as Mac has forced him to change position now for the second time in 5 years.

| But that's the problem. Apparently all our halfbacks would go well with an organiser. Sorry but organising is EVERY halfback's job. If you can't do that to a reasonable standard you're not a halfback at all - just some boke with 6 or 7 on your back.

Key word in your post "was". I very much doubt any woman running a club nowadays would be referred to as chairman.

Can you imagine the same scene at Smokey's school, but with him running out of goal to play as an extra winger telling his teacher that the traditional role of goalkeeper has evolved and that the other 10 outfield players can make his saves for him.
