| My proposal is to honour Sinfield with a statue at the ground & following today's ground development proposals to name the streets in both proposed housing developments after rugby greats.
Ablett Avenue, Burrow Boulevard, Kirke Crescent, Peacock Place, McGuire Mews, Sinfield Street, JJB Byway, Lewis Jones Lane, Ward Way, Bailey Court....

I like this idea.
I've always thought a team statue was the best option but on reflection realised it would be nigh on impossible to choose who should be in it. Is someone who has come through the academy more important than someone brought in? I'm sure Kev would prefer a team one (not that I know him but how he comes across) but I'm also as sure that the players recognise his importance to what we've achieved. Whilst he wasn't the fastest, strongest or most skillful, he was arguably the most complete we'll ever see in every way. The burden of captaincy and all it brings can't be underestimated, and we'll never know how it would have affected the others, but we know how it affected him. He lead and drove this team on and thoroughly deserves recognition for it. (And we haven't knighted anyone else so that shows the esteem we hold him in).

| Cunningham's statue is comical and totally over the top. Sorry folks, but it looks like a big gold turd. The thought of Kev "immortalised" in this way sends a shudder down my spine. Maybe in 20 or 30 years time when he's an old boy like me it might be appropriate on some anniversary to have a tasteful bust or plaque installed at HQ or perhaps a stand named after him if we ever get around to sorting one out. The man himself should be honoured the way he played the game, professionaly with dignity and humility and not seeking personal glory.
You know, like having a gigantic gold statue of himself planted right outside the ground.

He already has one in his garden. And on his desk. And next to his toilet.

Great idea but who would get the back passage?

| There are some great taxidermists in Leeds. Sir Kev's had a good innings let him see our his playing days in Union then have him despatched humanely (injection probably best for what you're wanting to do). Then have him stuffed and mounted in an action pose.
It would look great in the corner of Hetherington's office.
