Nah I don't like the idea of retiring shirt numbers. He is the temporary incumbent of that shirt no matter how inspirational or amazing his performances have been. The same for those who went before him playing no.10 for Leeds and those who go after.

Yeah I'm not keen on that, you can do it in American sports like baseball where the numbers go from 00 to 99 but I don't want to see us become like Italian football with players running out with the number 52 or 86 on the back of their shirts because several of the 1-13 ones aren't available.

At most maybe retire it for the following season before bringing it back.

And then move on to shapes. Triangles, rectangles, circles. But your star player has to have the star. Then what? Dinosaurs? Sign symbols? Id like to have that danger electricity lightning bolt on the back of my shirt. But there would always be one player who would be a jobsworth and have something like 'Hard hats must be worn at all times symbol on his shirt.

stevie ward was excellent today, very impressive and my M.O.M.
golding was also very impressive. a real talent.
Briscoe and Watkins looked a lot more cohesive, both had good games.
both kylie and McGuire are, and should be, regarded as legends for what they have achieved. I only hope this season doesn't affect there reputation as they were both awful.way off the pace and cumbersome.

Thought McGuire was ok today tbh. Personally don't think anybody was outstanding, nor was anybody poor. Kinda 7/10 across the board with a few maybe 7.5/10. It was clearly noticeable the guys who have had more game time against the ones who have had less in terms of their sharpness.

Think it'll be the same 13 vs HKR with Hardaker in for Golding if everything is ok with him and then going off how much game time they were given today then a bench of Burrow, Singleton, Leuluai and Achurch (Delaney if fit).

i was thinking the self same thing,although it does give golding some game time to get used to stepping in if required
