I think you may see Burrow and Lunt interchanging and as the games progresses Sinny reverts to 13 and Burrow to 7 and Mags to 6 as last year. This way Kevin gets a break from too much career shortening tackling early doors and is in the controlling position until we gain some momentum.

Do those calling for Leeds players to be rested on mass, remember Wigan V Widnes back in March? I seem to recall lots of talk on here about arrogance and Wigan getting what they deserved for not paying the opposition enough respect.

This is the Challenge Cup, one of the three trophies that Leeds or any other Super League team can win in a season (WCC aside) and one that we haven't won in over a decade.

I hope that those that pick the team for real, will pick the best team possible from available fit players and show Leigh the respect they deserve.

Some of us Leythers where discussing this game yesterday on our way home from Sheffield when incidentally we rested 6 of our first team players.

Consensus was you will be outsung outshouted and beaten by 8 points. One of the lads thought you might get within a converted try.



We had watched your game against Hull FC you see. Seems our club now take more to away games than Leeds do' which is pretty sad considering your lads are supposed to be World Cup Champions.

I think there needs to be a nice mix. A few changes and resting of players but not wholesale changes and be careful not to take Leigh too lightly. They will be up for it and are a potential bannana skin but it is a chance to give a few fringe players a go and rest some of our ageing players or knackered ones.

Stick the Under 20s in en masse. Leeds aren't going to win the Challenge Cup this season - too many good sides will make it through to the semi-finals/final for that to happen.

Going out of it will give the tired looking old heads in the squad a couple of extra weeks off, which they currently look very much in need of.

Au contraire, I'm far from depressed. Just offering an honest opinion on the likelihood of the current Leeds side being good enough to win the Challenge Cup.

Leeds should aim to put out the strongest squad possible. A healthy blow-out scoreline will be just as good as a rest if we can build up a commanding lead early on. This is far preferable to risking a team full of kids and players out of position.

As much as i know leeds have a lot of gifted youngsters, i would expect a seasoned leigh team with plenty ring-craft to win. At the same time, i know if you fetch your full squad, we could be looking at a point a minute if you play well. U20's rugby may be a touch quicker than the championship, but the champ is a tough, defensively damaging league.

Old pros IMO for this one......maybe their last chance to complete their medal haul (and it would be real egg in the faces if Leigh were to win)

The kids should be used for the league games IMO.

You would really need to be careful about picking an Under 20's side. I respect how good they are, and indeed how many of them consistently graduate to be superb SL players. However, our side absolutely battered Wigan under 20's in the final pre-season warm up. (by battered, I mean rugby-wise, not physically, I hasten to add!)

Also, in the CC last season, an in-form Catalans side paid us the compliment of fielding their strongest team, and came within a whisker of losing. On their day, this Leigh side is potentially better than last season's.

However, if you turn out a strong team, then class will tell.

It really annoys me how Webb gets treated on this message board. Forgetting the fact that he had a few words at the ref he is still one of most influential players. He should be one of the first names on the teamsheet IMO.

This week (as with most weeks) the majority on here want changes. However, it wont happen as all the players want to play. this is a big game and should be treated as such. I am going to Wembley and would love nothing more than to watch my side run out that day within 80 minutes of winning the cup.

Agreed, Webb is Webb you have the whole package, forward passing whinging brilliant link up play and setting up tries or you choose not to have him at all.

Players want to play every week and it could be detrimental to us if we rest them IMO. Looking at the games ahead it is important our first choice picks up form. The only people a would even think of resting are JP and Kev and I'd be loathe to rest even them

Webb is our most dangerous attacking player still.
