| So... Peacock, Kylie, Moore, Bailey, Griffin, Kirke, Ambler, Singleton. I wonder if McDermott will employ the same rotation system as TS used in 2004. Ambler and Singleton will go out on loan at some point I reckon.

| Why would Senior want to play for such a set of "negative tools" anyway?! He's about to reach the ranks of Jon Wilkin in terms of hypocriticalness!

| Don't really have an issue with this. Doubt he'll play much but if he does he's good cover! Hopefully his main role be a mentor type to our 2 very promising prospects at centre. If it does get to the point where he has to play then that's fine. But as we have Ablett and Delaney as back up already, it might be a rare occurence. Plus we have Smith, who is getting paid to sit about at the mo. So surely he'd rather play Smith and get at least some value out of that rather than play Senior and have to pay him?!

What about this
It's a million miles from utter rubbish mate, it's stone cold factual. This completely goes against everything this club has stood for and run as over the last 8 years.
Senior waited until he was out of the club (or at least he thought) before having a go. Now it's his usual only considerations, himself and money, that he's back with his tail between his legs.

Wasn't there a sizeable debate on another thread about you passing off your opinion as "stone cold" fact?
If Senior has such a poor effect on squad unity why was he part of the squad at Wembley despite being injured? Why was he invited by McDermott & the players to the after GF p[ii[/iss up?
Obviously GH isn't thrilled with some of Senior's comments in his book, hence the final paragraph of that article. So why, if it risked the squad unity built under the stewardship of GH, would GH risk that if Senior would be disruptive?
Are you just disappointed that your Nostradamus-like prophecy regarding this squad hasnt come true?

I would expect so but as he hasn't yet, I'm still classing him as a Leeds player. Is he OOC? And if not, would we have to pay him off?

Smith, who has 3 years left on his contract iirc, should be given another year to see if he can regain previous form/fitness to replace Brent Webb in 2013.
In any event he's handy cover to have around, and it's not like Watkins/BJB/Hardaker never get injured, and it's also not like we need to release anyone else (after Burgess, Cross, Lauititi and Buderus) to fit new signings under the cap.

| God no. I don't know how many props we need. It's not a surprise though.
And I for one do not want Senior back on any kind of deal. We've already proved we don't need him.
I hope this isn't the full extent of Mr Hetherington's signings as I, for one, am not impressed.

If Senior writes something in a book and puts it out to the public, is that my opinion or is it factual?
The factual that he wrote it, rather than what he said.

It's not like you to over-react is it Gotcha.
You've been lambasting GH for about three years and telling us all for about 3 years this squad was done. You've been made to look foolish. So, you still need an axe to grind with GH and this is what you come up with. That he has offered one of Leeds greatest servants and SL greatest players a pay as you play deal at the end of his career.
OMG, what a terrible thing. Hang GH by his boot straps.
I don't know the ins and outs and GHs relationship with McDermott or, for that matter Senior's relationship with McDermott. Neither do you, however much you pretend to be "in the know" on here.
I am willing to trust GHs judgment over years, yet again, because, after all, he's the one who really knows what he is doing.

| I don't see where all the confusion about us signing two props has come from, for me they are replacements for the two props we lost in Cross and Burgess. Obviously if we started last season with the same amount of props so we were essentially playing last season two men down. As I can't see them being on bigger wages than Burgess and Cross I would imagine we still are looking for a replacement for Lautitti, and still have cap room with Buderus' departure for a hooker or outside back. Senior on pay as you play won't take up much cap space either. We should still have room for 2 or 3 signings I rekon.

From previous interviews I was under the impression we will be spending up to cap and replacing buderus with someone of equal quality.
So far
Ali gone: would guess had a big chunk of cap
Buderus: as above
Senior: as above
Webb: 1yr extention would assume less cap space used
Kylie: As above
Kirke: As above
Cross gone
Burgess gone
And we have brought in Moore, griffin and new extensions to a few player on what will probably be improved terms.
If we believe the sleeve then there should be more announcements in the future IMO we still should have lots of cap space left

Oh for gods sake, grow some pal, and stop been so childish pathetic and agenda driven.
Did Keith Senior say or not say only this weekend?
Quote ="Keith Senior"Going back to Leeds was an option until my book was publicised and Brian McDermott wasn’t happy about it,” he said. “We’ll have to see what’s around the corner.” - players should seriously think about whether they write in papers or publish books before retiring.'"
As Hetherington not just come out today and said that the club offered Keith a one year deal before his injury, which McDermott pointed out he would have to fight for his place?
As Hetherington not just come out and said it was dissapointing the comments attributed to the club from Keith?
Does this all sound like the coach is happy with this arrangement?

I've no idea. Neither do you however much you pretend. I'd like to think Hetherington is smart enough to have discussed this with his coach. I am very confident that McDermott is as far from a "yes man" as you can get and will have let GH know his feelings.
It all sounds like a storm in a tea cup and an over reaction to it from you IMO.

They are all grown adults and I'm sure they can work through a very trivial spat, Senior took the bigger contract at Crusaders (and who can blame him at his age), I'm sure some stuff he said was to promote his book and nothing too serious.
Hardaker sounds like he's made of sterner stuff than Jon Wilkin and can take a bit of constructive criticism and deal with by no more than a shrug of the shoulders.

| I love it how certain posters make all their assumptions sound like stone cold facts in their posts. 'He thinks this, he did that' I bet it's comedy gold for people within the club that actually know what they are talking about.

Exactly, if McDermott really is not too keen on Senior he will just make him train all year and never play him = no pay = Mac 1 Senior 0.

But it's not a trival spat is it?
McDermott didn't want him, that is clear from the quotes, and clear why Keith said what he did. Why would that change suddenly?
Does this not actually go back to was it 2005? when Peacock and Senior had the "alleged" fight and fall out, and McDermott sided with Peacock.

They might be celebrating at seeing Keith taken down a peg or three if his comments really have p1ssed them off to the extent you're suggesting.
But of course the reality is that it'll be forgotten by next season and all parties will pull together. I'd imagine that far harsher words than anything that Senior's said in public have been exchanged this season. And forgotten.
