Not a very nice post this one. No we didn't think a GF place was nailed. Far from it. When the game tonight was slipping away is was disspointment not disbelief and anger as you suggest. I wouldn't say we were lucky to win at Wembley but Leeds certainly coulod have won had they taken their chances.

A significant majority of Wigan fans were openly cocky about beating Saints, including moderators. They rubbisehed anyone who dared dissent. Then, a sizeable majority rubbed it in when Wire were dumped out by Leeds.

Ironically the same mob were only too happy to put post after post of gloating on the Saints board when Leeds won the GF back in 09. None of these comments were nearly so heavily as moderated as the Wigan board. Cheery n White really has parodied itself.

You may have been more balanced in your appraisals, but the upshot is the pure arrogance of the Wigan board has caused many to chortle at their downfall. Again, its ironic because generally speaking, the Wigan fans are a decent bunch.

A sizeable majority of your fans on cherry and white did. The playground logic they were using was based around the fact they played poorly and lost by 8 points, so this week they'd obviously play better and that would = a win. 12 months or so ago, Ratboy and his arrogant fans thought Wigan RLFC were once again the biggest club in Rugby League, that it was the start of a period where they expected not just to equal Leeds' 3 titles on the run, but to go on and win 4,5 or maybe 6 titles in a row, and rule the world!!

This morning the staus quo has been resumed. Wigan RLFC are just the 2nd biggest club in Wigan.
