| I'm rather surprised that the Wigan v Saints semi is at Warrington. Dont they have a similar sized ground as Doncaster?

13,100 turned up on Saturday and that was a sell-out I believe.

| Hmmm, not sure about this. I think we would have struggled to get above maybe 15/16k at Huddersfield but at least every Leeds Season Ticket Holder would have the opportunity to purchase a ticket.
As this is, 3k + Leeds season tickets holders will be potentially disappointed and I really can't see any tickets at all going on general sale from Leeds and and Cas will sell 4k easily.
I also feel a little bit for the Cas fans. They will be outnumbered nearly 2 to 1 because the tickets have obviously been split based on season ticket/members at each club, which while being the only fair way, if they had gone for the Galpharm this would have not been an issue!
As for Saint v Wigan at HJ then that does seem very stupid! They could have gone for Reebok and released the tickets for the lower tiers first and then gone to fill the upper tiers as required.

Leeds 7,000 Cas 6,000 not quite 2 to 1
Should have been at Galpharm though.

2,000 empty seats seems a bit excessive as I thought it was 15k+ capacity

| The capacity at the Keepmoat is said to be 15,231.
I seriously suspect that will be plenty big enough for this game. If the RFL are really lucky it will sell-out but that is far from a given.

Reebok wasn't an option apparently, Bolton have a friendly on the Friday and didn't want two games played there on that weekend.

| Tthink the prices are a bit steep as well. Especially if you get to Wembley, how much will that cost the family in space of a month.

Prices for the bottom 2 bands are on a par with a normal league game be it at Cas or Leeds so I think it's reasonable.

Quote ="Andy Gilder"Well done to the RFL for ensuring both sets of supporters have awkward journeys to a small ground (capacity 15,300) with limited parking (around 1,000 spaces).
Oh, and if you're thinking of going by train put your walking shoes on, it's a good three miles out of the town centre IIRC.'"
There's apparently a shuttle bus for DRFC games. I imagine that something similar will be running on the day of this game: www.footballgroundguide.com/donc ... By%20Train
Like others, I don't believe that £20 or so is excessive for a semi final. It was £22 for yesterday's quarter final and the price is comparable with most league games.

You probably will going to Doncaster. We went to watch England v Australia (I think it was) and it took an eternity to get away.
I'd have preferred Huddersfield myself - but then I wasn't consulted.

Could the 2,000 be hospitality plus any sold directly by the RFL?
EDIT: Reading the section of the email quoted below, I interpret this as meaning they could possibly be holding the 2,000 back in reserve to give to the club who sell out first?
Quote ="Leeds Rugby"It will be the first time that that Rhinos have played at the Keepmoat with a capacity of 13,000 set for the game. Leeds have been allocated 7,000 of those tickets with Castleford given the remaining 6,000 however the RFL will monitor sales dependent on demand as to whether either club is given an extra allocation.'"

| How bad is the Keepmoat of parking/traffic? Off street parking??
The capacity is fine imo. 6K for Cas will be about right. 7K for Leeds plus the extra 2K that no doubt will be allocated to Leeds will just about cover it.
I usually drive to away games but the Rhinos coach travel is only 9 quid...if the parking is that bad then its well worth it.

| Regarding Galpharm...(don't know if its already been mentioned) Its has just had a newly turfed pitch and Town are playing their opening fixture on the Saturday...I doubt they would have wanted 2 games in 2 days on a new pitch that the football part will want in prime condition for as long as poss. So realistically where else was available? Now if I was a Wigan or Sts fan I would be fuming...13K for a game of that size? Joke.

| Ticket for Keepmoat will be dearer than my Wembley ticket , and it is harder to get to . I last visited there to watch an England match . I wasn't impressed that they ran out of pies early into the half-time break (I bought the last two , but I wanted four ). They can shove it . The location and the price breaks it for me . Why couldn't we have gone to Bradford ?
