| We didnt really play bad against St Helens imo, just we left to many gaps in the defence and we didnt take the chances that we had niether and Saints deserved their win. FWIH Brett Delaney, Lee Smith, Ryan Bailey and Kylie Leuluai are due to be back this week against Wakefield Wildcats. It will be good to have a full strength front row (excluding Jamie Peacock) back, I am hoping that Senior and Watkins sort out there defensive problems this week. Hardaker had a good game and I cannot see him being dropped this week. my 19 would be:
Webb, Smith, Delaney, Senior, Hall, Burrow, Leulaui, Buderus, Jones-Buchanan, Ablett, Sinfield, Lauitiiti, Cross, Bailey, Burgess, Watkins, Hauraki, Clarkson, Hardaker.
Which makes it very hard to think who would drop out imo. Delaney for me would play in SR, with Watkins in his centre spot with Hardaker or Smith on his Wing, I would give Hardaker another shot. Smith would be one to drop out, cant decide on the other, dependent on fitness of Leulaui and investigations that are going on, I would say Bailey.

Appart from smith for senior i would agree with most of the team appart from JJB at starting prop, what has he done to earn starting prop position with two specialist props on the bench?

Played his best game this season as starting prop against Salford City Reds and gives us more wieght on the bench so more props/SR's can be taken off when needed.

I just dont see the point in him starting at prop when we have two/ potentially 3 specialist props on the way back. Play him on the bench But if we have specialist props play them from the start

Agree re. performance against Saints. I thought our attack was worse than our defence, though. I think Brian Mac was right - after McShane's try at 16-12 we were in charge and should have gone on to win but bad errors with the ball, notably from Watkins (who wasn't as bad as some have said) and Sinfield were costly. Hall also made a bad error but we got away with it.
As for your team, I'd go JJB, Delaney, Ablett in back row with Lauitiiti, Hauraki and a prop on the bench (whichever one of Leuluai, Burgess and Cross doesn't start). I don't think McShane deserves to be dropped either. I'd like to see Watkins at left centre as someone else has posted but I'm not holding my breath.
If the players you mention are all back in contention, we should have some competition. Hopefully that will help lead to an upturn in performances and results!

I would rather Leuluai and came off the bench than bringing him straight back into the frame after his injury.

I suppose there is that, just dont see the point of playing people out of position if we dont have to

Not that it is any of your concern, but I am originally from North of the River, and therefore a real Loiner. I lived in Batley (Birstall actually) when I joined this community hence the nickname. I live outside Pontefract now, so should I support Featherstone in your mixed up view???

Then don't drop him..... I agree with you regards the starting centres....but afraid would relegate Burrow to the bench as well as dropping Senior... McShane to start at scrum half.
Delaney must be in forwards if fit ... As should Lleulai.
Hauraki and Ali on bench... Neither is good to start. Both are better as impact against hopefully wilting defences.

To be honest i did toy with the idea of replacing burrow with mcshane as burrow isnt offering too much at the moment
Agree regarding Kylie and Delaney but was unsure if they will be avalable
and again agree with the ali and Hauraki on the bench.
Is it just me or did mcshane look alot fitter and less "plump" than usual?

| Why don't we wait till the pack lay a solid platform and gain momentum before we drop Burrow?
Webb was just as if not worse than Robbie yet he's an automatic choice with you all!
Personally if the players rumoured to be returning are fully fit i'd go with.
Webb
Hall
Watkins
Smith
Hardaker
Sinfield
Burrow
Cross
Buderus
Burgess
Jjb
Ali/Hauraki
Ablett/Clarkson
Mcshane/Ablett/Clarkson.
Delaney
Kylie/Bailey
Ali/hauraki
I think it would be harsh to drop either Abbo ,Clarkson or Mcshane so it's whoever the coach would select imo.

When the club have been shaping him into a 9 since he was in the u16's?
It's a selection that does'nt make sense imo whilst we don't have a natural 7 to challenge for his spot and he's behind a decimated beaten pack.

Fair enough but I personallywould like to see mcshane give it a go, he can play there and would definatly improve our kicking game.
By the same logic regarding mcshane being groomed for hooker why do we play BJB on wing when he has been groomed for full back.
Not burrow bashing as it's called, but I haven't been impressed with him for years and just think other options should be explored

| Whilst Burrow didn't do much last night, it's a trifle unfair to single him out when playing behind such an obviously beaten pack. Some of the forwards and more experinced backs however.....
