People on here say 'well we've all done it' - but you arent all in the public eye and have the reputation of your employers to consider.

I study law at uni, not done employment law yet but done a bit on human rights and freedom of expression etc. From what I can gather it was bad taste but nothing more than that and so he hasn't done anything wrong in the eyes of the law. It is also not anything directly to do with his job unless he has clauses in his contract about his image rights/representing the image of the club which is probably the most likely reason they have got involved.

I do not condone Bailey's actions but I wonder how many company e-mail systems or company mobile phones have been used to pass on or distribute similar "jokes".
That leaves employees open to sanction far more readily than Bailey's use of his own (I guess) mobile media &/or computer in this case.
I wonder if those baying for Bailey's blood are being as zealous in their own workplace?

i'm studying for my employment law diploma as part of my trade union studies and as you say unless he has said something directly about his work then he will get away with a slap on the wrist. i'm sure the club will take the appropriate action with them been high profile.

It was a great act of ruining a season. He got an early red card with not being able to handle TMFMISL (like the rest of the Hull pack), his space in the middle left room for Magic McGuire to go over late. Hull lost 4th place and their season was over quickly.
