| Surprised by the low rating for Senior.
Did'nt most of the tries Leeds scored come down his side? Fair play, Sean Gleeson was little more than a speed bump that side, but you play what is in front of you and when Leeds spread the ball to Senior/Hall, there were always problems for Wakefield.

Haven't you heard, it was his 'poorest performance'
He spoon fed Hall his scores and was the biggest factor in the Buderus match winner. He's had worse days!!!

I watched the game on recording whilst recovering from a hangover and nodded off in parts but I must admit I am not sure what most of our fans are on about. Senior looked like our most potent threat and, as you say, was integral in many of the tries.

Don't necessarily disagree but he gave away at least one stupid penalty early on that led to one of their early scores.
I think Sinfield gave away another that led to their other early score.
Both those comments may be wrong due to that amount of whisky imbibed to drown my displeasure at how we played in the 1st half.
I had to get some delight out of the spectacle.
As we now know all's well that ends well.

The Senior penalty for interference led to the set that ended with Jeffries romping past Bailey to score the opening try.

Don't let silly little facts like that fool you G.
The demise of Senior continues apparently.
He's this seasons whipping boy.

Do you think he's at his usual level performance wise?
From my own p.o.v i think he's way off and is looking his age especially in defence.
Tbf i wouldn't call him the "whipping boy" either especially with how the whole team have performed so far this year but because of his usual high standards he stands out more imo and fwiw i personally haven't just picked out Senior when discussing the teams efforts this year.
All about opinons fella and i'm more than happy that mine are balanced and fair!

Like I said yesterday I didn't see the whole match and only the last 20 minutes, but the only opinion I see from Gareth is a potent attacking force. Whether that is a fact or not as you quote I don't know.
What I don't see however is any argument from anyone against the postings that Seniors defence is poor. That is what I have read from the many postings about Senior this year. Rather than his attack, it's his defence that is the problem.
I don't see how Seniors attacking ability can be in anyway an argument against something that is talking about defence.

To be honest he hasn't had that long run of form that he ususally comes up with.
That should be due any time soon!!
He has shown signs of it.
I hear the issue with defence. But the same could be said for another for another half a dozen players at least. But 'Seniors defence' is all we hear about. Alot more than others.
Look, Seniors past his best. No question. BUT IMO he's can still offer something. I would replace him at the end of the year IF the replacment was right and was for the good of the team. But it's a hard gig to fill.
And I still think he has more + than -
Then you look at his fitness and his ability to play week in week out and that is hard to come by.
Come the end of the year when we're in the pressure cooker of the playoffs he will rise to it. His constant support and advice he passes on to the like of Hall, Watkins etc is invalueable.
And another way to judge Senior: How would Ryan Hall be judged right now if he hadn't have had Senior (SL's greatest centre) inside him?

Those who are pulling him down for his defence and aren't offering many (or zero) kudos for his work in attack.
Whereas I can recognise BOTH the good and bad in his game. Mine, for that reason, is the superior POV of course.

Again fair points mate and i HOPE he does return to his best form like i've posted previously he's the best centre i've seen at Leeds and the best british centre in SL history imo.
I'm not disputing what he's done for Hall and other wingers either i'm on about the here and now and although i doubt he's the highest earner he won't be on peanuts either.
If he stays i hope it's not as 1st choice but in a "squad" role unless of course he's on fire etc because i really don't want to see his demise/drop in standards at this level continue.
I'm more than happy to be proved wrong though.

If that would be the case there would be no point retaining his services IMO.
