Of course he has. As I said earlier, he's had much better games this season. I was only referring to Monday and the use of the stats.
Put's in another defensive effort on Sunday though like Monday, then I will question his starting position.

If he busts down the middle again on Sunday I will be asking the RFL to drug test him!!
On a serious note he does seem to be carrying some form of lower back injury/knock.
He spent every opportunity against Fartown away trying to stretch it out, then he seemed to be doing the same thing on the side line against the Frogs on Monday late on in the game. Maybe a game off would actually benefit him. But against a big Hull pack he may have await another week at least. We can't lose one of the on form props of SL!!!

| Ryan Bailey's stats have been very poor all season imo. He works pretty hard in defence but his attack is really poor.
As it's Hull next up I will compare him with what Hull's props have done.
Avarage metres per game:
Mark O'Meley: 117.1
Lee Radford: 96.2
Ewan Dowes: 79.3
Peter Cusack: 70.4
Sam Moa: 65.6 (bare in mind he only plays in short bursts and avarages 8 carries per game)
Ryan Bailey: 64.1
Avarage carries per game:
Mark O'Meley: 16.2
Lee Radford : 14.3
Ewan Dowes: 11.7
Peter Cusack: 11.6
Ryan Bailey: 9.5
Sam Moa: 8
Avarage metres per carry:
Sam Moa: 8.2
Mark O'Meley: 7.2
Ewan Dowes: 6.77
Ryan Bailey: 6.74
Lee Radford: 6.72
Peter Cusack: 6.07
So poor work rate in attack, and not all that much impact either.

So to look at the attack in more detail, how does he fair in offloads and tackle busts?
Also what about his defence?
Does that matter for anything?
I bet you love Jamie Thackary. And I notice he's white. Interesting.

Don't bother. I looked at that myself, and Bailey comes nowhere near to ANY of the Hull props stat wise. I had hoped to come back at him with something.
Bailey should not be compared to O'Meley as that is Peacocks job. Good job really as O'Meley beats Bailey hands down in every facet of the stats.
So then I looked at Dowes as more likely comparison. Unfortunately, pretty much same again.

His defence is okay in terms of work rate, very similar to all the players mentioned above, I've already said that, although he does drop off a few tackles. However a top class prop needs more than half decent defence. As for offloads and tackle busts. In all fairness he's made 10 tackle busts, (which is a touch more than our guys but hardly outstanding) but only 6 offloads, O'Meley and Radford have both made 10.
As for the white comment, were you being serious?

So you concede that in your opinion he's in front on tackle busts??
So the Hull pack can make the metres but can't break the line??
Sounds worrying.
Also The Most Feared Man In Super League isn't too far behind on the offloads either, so you say.
So the picture you painted of him in attack is not as bleak as you first made out. Wouldn't you agree?
As for the 'white comment' - I will let you and your morality answer that one.

tbh I'd rather have props who make yards and put the team on the front foot than ones who push players off but don't go anywhere. fwiw the "most feared man in Superleague" as you call him, is only 2 tackle busts ahead of O'Meley and Ogre has made more clean breaks.
I would disagree about his attack not looking bleak. He is a first choice prop in a top team and to be making so few carries and metres isn't good enough. I'm sure many of your own fans would agree that he makes few inroads when he carries the ball.
And I think in this case the word you are looking for is moron, rather than moral.

| I'll form an opinion after watching them face off against each other this Sunday rather than based upon some mathematical formula.
I'll look at aggression in defence, power of collision, speed of play the ball and penalties won. All stats which are far more important than those listed above and which are rarely quantified.

| WHAT A SURPRISE ANOTHER TOPIC TURNING IN A BAILEY TOPIC....
being a leeds fan myself ive heard many of these from fickle leeds fans and other fans just unable to keep on there own forum...
i myself like bailey and understand (unlike some) that he is a defensive forward and makes a load of tackles in a game but may not tear the house down in attack but when he does drive the ball in he gives us a quick play the ball due to not tryin to nick that extra yard and that is what leeds play is all about fast attacking rugby
peacock and kylie are the yard making forwards so they are not the same as bailey so you can not compare them or any other yard making forward like o meley and the ginger one....

I'd have thought Bloodbath's point is self evidently valid.
That's not to say that everyone who bags Bailey does so due in part to to racist motivation or that anyone does so consciously.
However, Bailey is frequently described as a 'thug', 'animal' or 'work shy' or similar. All terms used by racists to describe black people generally. That in itself means little except for when you contrast it to a well loved 'enforcer' or 'hard man' like Barrie McDermott.
Generally players with far, far worse disciplinary records get nothing like the same level of abuse directed at them that Bailey does.
Again, that's not to suggest that Nick Griffin has been setting up user accounts on RLFANS but I'm certain that subconsciously Bailey's colour plays a part in some people's comments.

I think you’re blurring the lines between player opinion and racism here, I wouldn’t hesitate in calling a player a "thug" or "work shy" (regardless of skin colour) if that’s how I felt about them and there would be no racist implications at all with my intent.
I will agree that there may be a few that will hide racist intend behind such language but to label someone a racist because they use such words without additional evidence is unfair IMO.
