I agree. Medical advice should have been to take all the stress off his leg until it healed completely. A stress fracture won't go away unless you rest it properly. I feel for the guy and maybe now he'll get fully fit as he's forced to rehab properly, but seems like he's been given bum advice or chosen to ignore good advice. |

That's true, it can.
Slightly OT but research seems to suggest (and this is only what I came across whilst looking for that specific paper) that Hep B can be spread via sweat so the recommendation is for all Olympic wrestlers to be inocculated.
I played Pennine RL last year and almost every match ended up with blood on me, sometime mine, sometimes others. I asked my GP about Hep jabs and she just shrugged and told me to go private. |

It is 3 vaccines done over the course of 3 - 6 months (and then a blood test at the end to check levels of immunity) but it is only given to those who are in areas they are at higher risk of coming into contact with it. |
