For me I'd say Keith should take the week off and use it as a rest week to prepare for the play-offs.

If Keith's got complaints over the financial implications of being doubly hit because of a RFL fine and being fined by Leeds, I think he should have a word with McLennan over the fine being waived*, but he shouldn't be trying to get to play to get back the win bonus.

*I don't have any idea how the fining system works over sin-binning, but IMO players shouldn't be fined for doing what Keith did. Putting scrotes on the floor if they take liberties is going to ensure we win a third GF in a row. I'd say that Lee Smith is far more deserving of a Leeds fine for his cheap shot follow up to the high tackle on Gilmour than Keith should be. Just because the ref chose to punish Keith rather than Lee shouldn't mean we follow suit.

Keith's going to get targeted in the play offs, but TBH there won't be much difference between what would've happened anyway. And one things for sure, the players targeting Keith will will have a large element of fear and respect involved.

Compare that with the ridicule Wilkin is going to face.

He might well (given what's at stake if he looses out) and I hope Leeds will council him to do so but Hetherington is always at pains to point out that the club have no part to play in the decision on an appeal and that it's down to the individual player to decide on whether to or not.

I don't think, given at what stage in the game it came, it made any difference or undermines what Bentham did. He has to make a decsion based on what he saw, or the report he is given at the time. The review panel have the benefit of watching the tv replay from all angles. He could well have just been penalised or not even penalised and still got summoned to appear after the review panel looked at the video.

Yes they are, IMO but it won't particularly undermine Bentham or any of the referees as players are regularly banned without seeing the red card on the night and gawd bless them for keeping matches at thirteen a side just as gawd intended.

The panel said this was an "ugly incident". I thought it was pretty good and I have definately seen uglier incidents go un-punished.

Well having suffered shoulder injuries in the past i can tell you it's very relevant,especially in the tackle!!

I'd rather hoped Potter had stood him down for a week for his actions during the incident and especially his lack of sportsmanship after the final whistle.

Their are elements within the St Helens club at times who act like prima donnas and it needs nipping in the bud...... this isn't footie.
