Reasons for Decision Whilst the panel can understand how the provocation implied may lead a person to react in the way in which you did what you must understand is that you are a high profile player in a high profile match and you are a role model to hundreds of youngsters in the game. This was an ugly incident and it was apparent that all parties involved got quite aggressive. We therefore cannot overlook this incident however we can give you all the credit you deserve for not appearing before us since 2000.

Taken in isolation I don't think Keith can really complain. But compared to Gilmour, who tried to smack a player who was being held by a team mate, it's harsh.

I did not think Senior would get a ban, and it looks (reading between the lines) like they were unhappy at how he kept on mouthing after the punch rather than his initial reaction to Wilkin's off-the-ball face plant... so all in all I think they have got it correct.

Got to agree with you 100% there! I do think the RFL should send him a letter... but suspect they won't. I would also expect the club to take some action... but they won't either!
