Whatever we might think about Smith's abilities one thing is for sure he is nobody's fool. If he wants Cummins it is because he has some qualities that Smith admires/needs.

I for one wish him all the best if this is the path he takes he has been a great servant to the club and deserves all the credit for that.

A few years ago I felt McDermott was a shoe in for the Head Coach job at Leeds.
But each year after a good start London fade away.
Can`t all be put onto the Coach I know.
But nothing yet has suggested he is a great head coach.
An assistant maybe but not top dog IMO.

welli dont know much about the office politics regarding the coaching staff being yes men under Smith when he was at Leeds .its just that i would never have thought Brian Mac as being A yesman

It's not just at Leeds, I think he had a similar reputation at Huddersfield and what did he have in mind when appointing McNamara to the England set up.

Cummins strikes me as Smith's kind of assistant, moreso than the one he inherited at the Halliwell Jones.

Warrington brewed Tetleys 15-20 years ago whehn I was living near Glossop. There was a pub on the back roads towards Barnsley and sheffield which was on the right side of the "border" and got it's supplies from Leeds Brewery. There was another pub on the road towards Stockport which got it's beer from the Warrington brewery. The difference was astounding IMO.
