Personally I felt the world cup knocked a lot of confidence out of the English lads within our great club and has resulted in this so far indifference season. However despite our what appears to be appalling form over the season we are still residing second in the table and going into good form towards the end of the season when we need to be. This is not just good news for Leeds Rhinos but for England’s ambitions in the four nations as well.

That's exactly it. There was a lot of undue panic around here about our form, but it's only in the last few games of the season that we ever hit any kind of form. The mid-season slump in form is usually much worse too.

While beating Cas is no indicator of our chances, I seem to remember us playing ourselves into form against Cas at the same point last season.

Saw Ablett as the players were leaving the changing rooms.He was on crutches as a precaution.

I spoke to him but he didn't know what he'd done yet.Didn't sound too optimistic though

We were the most clinical and effective I have seen. they simply couldn't get hold of the ball.

The discipline was better, the completion rates were better, there were set moves, there was support play - we were fantastic and looked very good for the rest.

Peacock was his usual self tonight (brilliant) but for a change he didnt look as though he was carrying the pack all by himself.

Kylie, Burgess, Ablett and Ali all were fantastic. Ablett is rated as doubtful for next week according to Bluey which is a great shame, he could have done with another wonder performance like that before Saints. I just hope when Bailey and Kirke come back (next week hopefully) the are refreshed and up their game like the rest did tonight. Then we will be upstoppable MUHAHAHA

Dean Widders - How bad is he? Picked him out early doors on defence and everything seemed to go down his channel.

Last night Dean Widders for some strange reason was playing at 6. As anyone with eye sight can tell, he is definately no stand off with a build like that!
When he plays in the back row he has been very good for us this year, but just like the rest of the team, he was very poor, and was caught out a fair bit in defence.

Still, thought your guys were very clinical and far too fast for us out wide, and I think you are peaking for the play-offs at the right time on that evidence. Well done on what was a very good performance (even if it was against an aweful Cas team!)
